Hello .. I read the travelstate website fpr CBRA for a child for both us citizen perents born abroad .. However it doesnt specify for how long we should proce physical presence in the US .. I contacted some embassies but they also gave me the same link wich didnt give much information like if it was only one perent with the citizenship ..

Also another question .. If the citizen perent got his citizenship thruigh natrulization , does his physical presence befor becoming a citizen counted ?

Thanks !

Physical presence counts as anytime you spent in the US BEFORE the child was born. So having a tourist visa or green card will count.

All physical presence requirements are stated clear on embassies websites like here:

https://nl.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/child-family-matters/birth/proof-physical-presence/

What exactly is unclear to you?

It's amazing how many questions can be resolved with a 2 minute Google search...

Thanks !

I was reading in Ankaras embassy here

https://tr.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/child-family-matters/birth/

Which made me confused bcs they stated both perents should prove the residence .. I didnt undeestand the residence meaning I thought that their should be a certain lenghth for a year or ..

I was also afraid that my residency here wont be counted when I was a greencard holder

So both of you are USCs. Then the link you provided simply says you two must have resided in the US at any time before the child’s birth, not about for how many number of years. It’s much easier to prove that.
