Just got our I-797 NOA, it took 10 days for us. Feeling awesome!

 

Side note - hubby wants to travel, but I am a bit nervous to be honest. I am not sure how India deals with the expired GC and having the NOA presented  while he is entering and leaving India.

 

Another thing, the choice of NOA paper used leaves something to be desired. The ink is fading at the most important part, which is the extension of his GC for another 18 months. The paper is gray like. I can totally see some countries assuming this might be a fake (copy etc.)! 🙄

 

Still, we are closer to his ROC today than we were yesterday! 🥰

We sent our I-751 package off to Dallas lockbox early this month. I realized a few days later that i overpaid. I filed (1) I-751 for both my wife and stepdaughter. I assumed that $595 filing fee would be for each of them. Our package was returned to us exactly 16 days after we sent it off. I resent the package back to Dallas with the corrected check amount the same day, Thursday September 19. They had reorganized the packet to make it easier for the person that would be reviewing our case...all of the documents that we had sent in already had a code put on each page at the bottom section. I also had called USCIS and asked them about the status. They mentioned that our package would be returned to us by the end of this month...glad it only took a couple of days to receive it after the phone call. USCIS was very helpful when i talked to them. Hopefully Monday our package will be at the Texas location.

Yep, the NOA's are not nicely printed, but we've had no trouble at all with it.  India itself will not care about his country of residence, just his country of citizenship for entry/exit.  Don't worry about traveling.

I did not think it was an annoying question at all. My husband's I-797 also has him listed as the beneficiary/petitioner. It also made me think for a bit, but then I concluded that he surely was both. 😅
