On February 17 our case updated to: “case ready to be scheduled”

 

February 27 (last Saturday) we got an email “we have taken action on your case” 

but there has been no online update.... 

 

does anyone know what action this could have been?   

 

10/3/16 I-129F mailed to Lewisville, TX

10/5/16 Delivered at Lewisville, TX

10/11/16 NOA1 Received

11/3/16 NOA2 Received

11/8/16 NOA2 Hard Copy Received

11/22/16 NVC Received I-129

12/2/16 Consulate Review

12/15/16 Interview Date

Hello, I got my citizen interview scheduled for April 12th but I my second green card hasnt changed to the status of we are ready to schedule on april 2020 which was last year. So I am wondering if I will have any travel when I go for my citizen exam??... I hope somebody can answer it. Thank you in advance.

Yes, I got an interview appointment letter about a week later 🙂

Hi everyone - the status of my case was updated. It was transferred to the local office in order for an interview to be scheduled. Does anyone know how long it usually takes from there until interview (or whether it completely depends on the local office)? I’m 7 month pregnant so I’m a little concerned with timing!

Hello Odry.

1. Congratulations!!

2. Don't be concerned or worried, you don't need such negative vibe in your state.

3. My opinion is, consult a skilled immigration attorney now, before you get your interview invite letter. He / She would be ready to know what to do.

4. Consider number 3, USCIS could be a bully when a legal consultant is not involved. I am kind of recovering from depression and a bitter experience of not consulting an immigration attorney.

My case has been in pending interview status for 3 months now. I wouldn't panic yet.

Today my status updated to “New Card being produced” we did not have an interview at all and have been waiting since Sept 2019 (YSC).

 

We have a pending N400 as well since Sept 2020 but no updates on that yet.

 

Can i assume that the N400 will not be a combo since they went ahead and granted me permanent status with this update?

We are a YSC as well and are still waiting.  This gives me hope that we may hear something soon.

12/23/16 - I-129f packet received

1/5/17- NOA1 receipt date

1/10/17 - NOA1 Hardcopy received

Congratulations! Did your status ever change to "ready for interview" or did it move from fingerprint to card produced?

 

I would expect that you'll only have an n400 interview now, not combo

No, never an interview mention at all. Case received > Biometrics > New Card being produced.

 

i think i read somewhere on the USCIS documents they post online with changes in processes (partially due to Covid) where they implemented new rules that if they deem all the sent paperwork sufficient, they would skip the interview. I guess i lucked out with this as i would never expect it tbh. But i’m extremely happy and one step closer to the finish!

Hello All, 

Filed my I-751 in Sept 2019 (paper based; WAC case number) and my N-400 on September 2020 (Online) based on marriage. Today I received an email notifying me the following: 

 

Interview Was Scheduled

On April 12, 2021, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number IOE*****. 

 

I'm so excited!! I wish everyone good luck and the best.
