I am convinced at this point that YSC has a box full of pending ROC applications that they stuffed into a closet somewhere that says "Do not open until Fall of 2020".  lol.  There seems to be absolutely no movement in this center. :clock:

Yes. Can save for 30 days if I understood that correctly

That's correct. Per USCIS:

Once you start your form, we will automatically save your information for 30 days, or from the last time you worked on the form.

So the RFI arrived in mail. 2 major things they want to see:

1. A child together or adoption

2. shared property or lease.

That seems unlikely and unusual. There are plenty of couples who've been approved without children. Are you certain that USCIS has requested that you procreate in order to obtain a 10-year green card? This is the first time I've seen anything like this on VJ.

Hello September Filers,

No one has update from WAC office? My stat changed from received to "finger prints taken" in June 13, 2020 and nothing since then. Anyone with WAC case number has any luck?

In August I received an email from VJ saying, "Your I-751 Approval Estimate: Your approval is past due" which I thought was a cruel joke... I mean I laughed... but something inside me died a little bit.

When I see the timeline of Sept. filers who get approved, if count I right, it took appox. 8 months from biometric to approval. Is it safe to assume that this could be a general rule for all of us?

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

It puzzled me at first too but here is what I think it is. My wife has a son from previous relationship, so I “think” they want to see if I ever proceeded to adopt him. I love him and treat him like my son but his father has a court order of paying child support, insurance, and legal rights to his son. Plus all the visiting rights. So when my wife and I get insurance, we don’t have him on ours. He loves his son too and he wouldn’t arrow me to do anything ordered to him by the court. And I respect that. Laws are very strict.

see the attached pic. (Honestly I thought I had provided enough in the beginning)

Not a lawyer, but I think If that child is registered in school or daycare, show them that you're allowed to pick them up and you're an emergency contact. Or if you have them on your insurance plan etc..

Add recent tax returns, bank statements, pictures, rental agreement or maybe even a receipt of the last few months of rent..

@Mwar as you can read, I said I can’t have him on my insurance because his dad is ordered by the court to have it. Anything else school related, I have and I will provide those no problem.
and like I said, my first post was a quick reaction after I got the letter but the more I read thru the more I understood.

and TBH, I posted this so I provide clarity to everyone here. Some people leave open-ended posts which I don’t think it helps this VJ community.

Thanks.

Well that was rude and uncalled for.

The listing of evidence you provided so far is impressive and I'm honestly surprised USCIS is asking for more. In any event, the keyword in the sentence mentioning children is "may." As in, "...the evidence may include but is not limited to..."

If you look at the list of recommended evidence (cut off in your photo) beyond what is listed for children, I'm sure you'll be able to find something additional that will help USCIS make a determination in your favor. Perhaps if you have life insurance, or some other commingled assets/accounts? I wouldn't recommend it right away, but now may be the time to start thinking about a lawyer if you continue to get RFI/RFE's as that has the possibility of putting your partner's immigration status in jeopardy.

We received my husband's green card in the mail today!  Full timeline in signature, but basically a few days shy of 1 year since we filed in 2019.  Feels good to have it out of the way.  Now just to apply for N-400 next week ;)

Good luck to those still waiting!

So...I do not know how I feel about this...

Filed September 2019 with my back then husband. We separated February 2020 and our divorce was finalized one month ago. I hired an immigration lawyer to help me make the changes. TODAY I check the app and it says New Card is Being Produced. Now I should be happy and everything but I am most certain they approved it under the belief that we are still married. I reached out to my lawyer to see what she thinks we need to do but I literally opened the app, refreshed it and went WHAT?! And started crying....Not sure if I should be happy or concerned :(

9/4/2019 - Packet was sent
9/6/2019 - Packet was received by USCIS in Phoenix, Arizona

8/11/2020 - Divorce was Finalized

9/10/2020 - New Card is Being Produced
