It could mean that or it could simply mean the local office is handling the case and it may end up being approved without an interview. See the below excerpt from USCIS's "Workload Transfer Updates" page:

My case was just changed to "ready to schedule for interview". Waiver case. Sept 2019 filer.

...and my card was supposed to be delivered today and now the status is “returned to sender” as the addressee could not matched with a mailbox lol. Not that my name was on it or so.
Gonna cry. This system either makes or breaks you. Today I’m feeling closer to second.

And I am still stuck at case received since September 2019. Biometrics done but never reflected in the online status. LIN must be the worst of all processing centers.

Same here, LIN was making a lot of progress on all cases 500 before mine and then for the last four days no cases 500 before mine have had any changes. Also a beginning of Sept 2019 filer

lots of approved cases within 1k, handful of cases transferred to another office, and a bunch pending an interview.

Don't worry, just a little more longer! Atleast you dont have a interview! I have to wait and see how long it takes...

Im thinking its going to be a tough interview because I falsely arrested for Domestic Violence (charger was dismissed/never filed with the court). Ugh, I never been in trouble in my life and ima end up crying during the interview I bet because it was a very tough situation for me :(

Hey PolarPear,

Reading your statement, you only need to prove to whoever will interview you it was false arrest. One advise is, fight that fear and negative vibe before going for the interview because they read your body language and your speech which is beyond what is on paper.

I am also waiting diligently for an interview date though I just want my request to be approved without interview because of the stress, here in Tennessee is an hot zone for the virus.

I heard filing for N400/naturalization may help nudge the i751 along faster than if you didn’t file.

I have decided with or without i751 approval, once my window opens I will file for N400.

I have heard of someone that got citizenship approval before i751 (that is before the pandemic), which to me is absurd.

Lin filler here. I've noticed that lately there's only one response for mostly cases from the Lincoln center- RFE and they stopped on cases from sept 3rd

Well, mine is going to be changing to waiver divorce. Divorce was finalized yesterday and I already got together with an immigration lawyer to get the form switched from joint to waiver. September filer here and case still states "Case Was Received". I think USCIS was waiting on me to get the divorce since my husband of course had to call and tell them like back in October or something. I am so glad that the divorce is final. Am I worried about doing this without my husband? Nope, I have been in this country for over 19 years, so I practically grew up here. Hoping to hear something from my immigration lawyer soon.

9/4/2019 - Packet was sent
9/6/2019 - Packet was received by USCIS in Phoenix, Arizona
9/11/2019 - Personal Check was deposited/cashed by USCIS
9/11/2019 - Received text message with my LIN case #
9/14/2019 - Received Receipt and Extension
1/10/2020 (Day 126) - Received Biometrics Letter
1/23/2020 (Day 139) - Biometrics Completed

2/8/2020  - Separated from Husband

8/11/2020 - Divorce was Finalized

9/10/2020 - New Card is Being Produced

9/14/2020 - New Card was Mailed

9/15/2020 - Post Office Picked Up the Card

9/16/2020 - Card Delivered

8/21/2022 - N-400 Form was Submitted and Case is Being Actively Reviewed

10/21/2022 - Interview scheduled

12/1/2022 - Interview and approved

12/1/2022 - Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled (30-45 days)

You might check your case on this site:

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

With https://my.uscis.gov/ it always show "Case was received"
