Did a little more searching in the EAC19901462xx range and it looks like a few cases about ~60-80 cases after us were transferred in April, and a few more had their statuses updated to ready to be scheduled for interview.  Interestingly, no movement like that on cases ~80 cases before us.

Hi all,

Just got a text/email that one of my kiddo's ROC was approved and the card was issued for production. The other one had a soft update on May 06 but no approval yet, even though her number is immediately right after the other. Hoping for another update for her soon. Just as a reminder, they're both SRC receipts, filed on September 06, Biometrics done on November 14.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

02/16/2020 - N-400 application filed online

02/21/2020 - Paper NOA received in the mail

03/13/2020 - Biometrics

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony

Hello,

I am same boat as urs,

I have seen that WAC  August filler for fingerprint waived

Oh no. I haven’t even heard about the waiver on my application yet. California case processing times were 15 to 23 months but now it says 14 to almost 28 months.

Not many but few of them have got their finger print waived at wac but many at texas center are getting wavied and approved. May be after June 4 things might speed up

Ooooooo I just checked my Case Tracker App fully expecting nothing, but it shows that 4 days ago (May 13th 2020) my case status was updated! It says, "Fingerprints relating to your form I-751 have been applied to your case."

The last time I did biometrics was sometime in Feb '17, so it seems like they decided to use the fingerprints on file instead of making me come in to do new ones. I was pretty sure that too much time had elapsed since my last fingerprinting for them to be reused, so perhaps this is influenced by Covid and their aversion to in-person appointments for the moment?

Either way, pretty jazzed to see the first update to my case since September '19!

Any news is good news! I hope we all make it on time - especially with all in person appointments cancelled, resources should be diverted to our cases to make sure it get done before the 18 month extension expires.

Quick question: can we apply for citizenship even when are cases are pending at 2 years and nine month mark? Thanks.

Is it worth calling is a very subjective question without knowing your stress level.

For me, it would not be worth calling because my expectation is it will take a minimum of 12 monrhs to receive ROC. You are at 7.5 months, you will most likely get the stock “within processing limits” and will that stress you more? Over eagerness is counter-productive in these protracted waits. Set a realistic target, and call when it’s exceeded.

my $0.02
