Hi all,

I'm a USC and work as a RN. Been living here for 8 years. My folks are from the Philippines: mom is 58 yo & dad 64 yo. Dad is a retired seaman and had been in the US before and a lot of countries for his job; my mom is a homemaker and manages their small business. My parents have great & sufficient ties back home, owning apartments, small grocery store and sufficient money in the bank. My sister is 26 yo chemical engineer in Manila in a well known company. She has been to Europe twice and Asia. They are all applying together. My sister for 1 month, and parents for 3 months. What are the odds of them being approved or denied? Thanks!

Nobody can predict if they will get a visa or not. Only thing they can do is apply and see. We have seen people with strong ties to their country get denied also. So nobody can tell you with certainty what will happen. I guess the only odds that is definite is there is a 0% chance if they DON"T apply.

I can tell you that their ties are stronger than a lot I have seen but that does not mean they will get approved.

My gut says parents will get approved, the sister is a long shot. From what I have seen they don't really care if she has been to other countries that required a tourist visa.  Parents are good since they are older, sister is long shot since she is younger

The approval process for PI tourist visa is all over the place and hard to judge.  Only thing I have seen is the elderly and the rich have a much higher approval rate.
