AOS Approved 1 Day Before 2nd Anniversary

Oh great, now I'm really mad at whoever it was that approved my green card 1 day before my second wedding anniversary and stuck me with the conditional card instead of the ten year one.

I applied for my K1 in Feb 2003 and my 90 day window for removal of conditions starts in October. *sigh* Hubby is not going to be happy when I tell him this.

Uh...okie. I was just griping about the fee increase I'm going to be stuck with like everyone else, and now this post makes no sense.

You timeline and your post dont make sense.... your timeline says you filed I-130 on 05/10/2007 yet in your post you say you file K1 in 2003....

Kez

That's not my timeline, no idea what is going on there but that information is nothing to do with me. Look... I can construct sentences correctly, see?! Whoever "Ibrahim Jalloh" is, he's not me.

I fully sympathize - my 'conditional' green card was approved 3 weeks before our second anniversary. I was annoyed and frustrated enough with that - I would be royally angry at only one day! Sigh - will be here physically over 4 years by the time I get my 10 year card - and over 5 years before I am eligible to apply for citizenship.

My sympathies -- I'm pissed off for you. I am so sick of the incompetent idiots working at the USCIS. I bet they did it deliberately *insert series of expletives here*. It took them just over a year to process my AOS, so I'm feeling pretty grateful now. Seriously, they should compensate you for the increased fees that you're going to be stuffed with.

pinKaboo,

I see no mention of fee increase in your post. I see only that you are mad about having your adjustment approved 1 day before you could have had LPR status without conditions.

That happened a year and a half ago now. For want of a day I got a conditional green card instead of a ten year one, so with the fee increase that means I now have to find even more cash to remove conditions, hence now I am even more irritated. In context of the thread I'd hope you would have got what I was getting at. Having removed it from context, well yes, you've made it concerned with the granting of the green card rather than my annoyance with the fee increase.

Never mind.
