I'm in the marriage based I-485 process (from E-1), together with I-130, I-765 and I-131. I have received all my receipts on May 21 and the online status is still "we have received the fingerprinting fee". It's been almost 3 months till today but I haven't heard back from USCIS. Other cases online with similar receipt dates took just 4-6 weeks. The case is with MSC (Missouri), I'm located in California.

I tried to call, but the system does not let you speak with an agent anymore. I also tried it through the "changing address" submenu but every time it tells me that there are so many people calling that they won't put me in queue.

USCIS does not allow InfoPass appointments anymore either.

Case inquiry does not work either because all my cases are not outside the "normal" processing time.

Could there be a chance that they don't collect biometrics, since they already have my fingerprints through my recent Visa applications?

Would you recommend me writing a physical letter or something else?

Does EAD/AP depend on the biometrics?

When you call the 1 800 number to speak to somebody

Do option 1 then 2 then 4 then 6, input receipt number then wait to speak to somebody

Call if possible at 8:01 AM Eastern time to minimize your wait time on the phone.

Sorry you have been waiting so long for biometrics.

Good luck

Thanks for reminding me of the address change. I did not move though.

I was finally able to get through, by accident. I wasn't able to press any buttons so I entered in a spanish-speaking (my spanish is very rusty) call queue where I was able to reach an agent (but I was able to state my issue in english, of course).

The agent put a request into the system to send out the bio notice. The agent said it hasn't been sent out yet but they will probably send out the notice within the next two weeks. It's been now past two weeks and the online status did not change. Will wait for a little bit more and then call again.

Update: I finally received my notice, 2 and 1/2 weeks after my phone inquiry. The online status did NOT update, so I encourage anyone to call the phone line and get to an agent - your notice might have gotten lost in the mail. In my case, it wasn't even sent out in the first place.

Great you received it after all I am happy for you.

Usually they do not update the onlinr status when they send the bio letter.

I have seen in just 1 case out of 100 where it was updated online.

Good luck for the rest of your journey
