Hi, I received the NOA2 on July 12 or so. The date of approval on it said July 9th. On the 9th of this month, I sent an email to the email address in the NOA2 regarding what is going on. It said to email them after 30 days, even though we should have heard something within 2-4 weeks. Is my fiance supposed to receieve a welcome packet from the NVC in the mail? Os this the next step we are waiting on? My fiance has not received anything in the mail from anyone, neither have I since the NOA2.

Do you have an embassy assigned case #?  If you are waiting for some sort of welcome packet from NVC, then you will be waiting forever.   No such welcome packet exists

YMMV

When the NVC is done with their processing, the petitioner may get a letter from them stating as such, and that the approved K1 petition is being sent on to the interviewing embassy/consulate for the next phase of your immigration journey. The petitioner's NVC letter usually lists the DOS case file number, the USCIS Receipt number, the name of the beneficiary, and the address of the interviewing embassy/consulate. After receipt of the paperwork from NVC the embassy /consulate will contact the beneficiary and start their processing, hopefully culminating in a successful interview.

Check out the K1 Flowchart, the time frames are not current, but the sequence of events is still pretty much accurate. https://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow/

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Whatever is supposed to happen next, hasn't happene. My fiance nor I have received anything. The last thing I received was the NOA2 stating it was approved for 4 months. Of all the research i did online, i read nothing about being approved for 4 months. The only ID numbet we have is the same petition number we used to check the status of the petition. We have nothing else yet. And it's been over a month.

The info about the required documentation, fees, forms, etc. can tend to be embassy/consulate specific, and are simply called Packet 3 (P3), Packet 4 (P4), etc. These packets will be sent to the beneficiary by the interviewing embassy/consulate, NOT from NVC.This is  due to the reasons mentioned in the first sentence.

Since your timeline is vacant, cannot tell which embassy/consulate the beneficiary will be interviewed. :time:It helps everyone that uses the forum, including enabling prompt and thorough answers to your specific question. You can find information about the embassy/consulates her: https://www.visajourney.com/consulates/

The validity dates of approved K1 petitions are usually automatically extended by a CO at the embassy/consulate so that they can process the approved petition. Check out this DOS link for more correct information: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html

One final thing, step back and take a breather. This entire process is not a sprint race, rather it is a marathon, you have to learn how to pace yourself. It can drive you crazy if you let it.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

I read online that the NVC will send my fiance a packet about what to do next. What fees need to be paid, what paperwork to have filled out and ready for the interview date which will be in the packet as well.

I think you're mixing up procedures for fiancee (K-1) vs spouse (CR/IR-1) visas.  The only role the NVC has in all of this is to forward the approved petition to your consulate.  The interview, forms required, medical details etc are all handled directly by the consulate.

I have in other posts I've made, but you're right, I did not specify here. It's the Manila embassy.

On your timeline it says Armenia.  May want to correct that.

Nope.  All you will get is a letter/email from NVC once you case file has shipped to the embassy.     < and that can take 4-6 weeks once NVC has your petition packet from USCIS.

Everything after that is embassy related.

It would be easier to answer some of your questions if your profile and timeline listed your country.    If you have the time to file in the blanks that would be helpful

So I will receive a letter from the NVC letting me know it is being forwarded to the Manila Embassy. Thank you. As for receiving that letter, I moved while waiting for the NOA2. I updated my address on the website as I should have. I received the NOA2 at my new address. The letter from the NVC won't be sent to my previous address since I updated my address months ago, will it?

Ah .. the Philippines.

Time to make the leap over to the Philippines forum .. there you will get better answers relating to your visa process

https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

Probably won't receive the letter from NVC  they use the address listed in the I-129F ..     (you updated your address with USCIS, NVC doesn't get that info)

Here is what you do:  Email NVC to get your MNL#    Here is a link to information for NVC  https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/nvc.html

As for  - What is next ..  Here is a link to the complete visa process for the Philippines

Once your CEAC status shows READY it will be Rock n Roll time !

See you on the Philippines forum.
