Finally! Almost 17 months after I filed, my status has finally changed to “interview scheduled”.

My wait is finally over as well! 

 

Applied September 13, 2019, Brooklyn field office.

1st interview - April 13, 2020 - cancelled due to covid

2nd interview - January 20, 2021 - cancelled due to safety concerns relation to the presidential inauguration

3rd interview - Feb 17, 2021 - finally happened!

 

Oath ceremony scheduled right after the interview. 

Feb 25 - oath ceremony completed!!

My wife and I had a super smooth interview at the Newark field office today.  The interview lasted less than 5 mins.  After that we had our oath ceremony right there and received our naturalization certificate.  The whole process took about 3 hours start to end.  The officer and the staff were really professional and friendly.

I missed this post. Congrats, finally! Been waiting for an update for you guys, knowing that your field office is one of the slowest in the country atm. What a relief to finally have a date.
