@JFH: Unfortunately, no news here in NJ.  I think we may qualify for an inquiry in a month.

Good luck! Seattle is only allowing case inquiries for those who filed before January 10, 2019 so I am a long way from being able to do that. I did contact the ombudsman about the disparity in processing times - how can the same form take 3 months to process in one location but I’m now in month 17 of waiting? Even before COVID-19 Seattle was taking around 2 years.

I'm right here with you. Wondering if we can do anything for the future filers. It seems really inefficient why they would not relocate our cases to Portland, OR or Yakima, WA where they have fewer apps...

They were sending anyone south of Seattle to Portland and the east side applicants to Yakima last summer but that seems to have stopped now. I’m actually closer to Portland here in southwest Washington than I am to Seattle so it would be ideal for me.

Lol hopefully with the new administration, things will speed up for future filers. I'm still waiting as of today. Fingers crossed that we'll both get interview notices next month.

August 2019 filers have just started to receive their interview notices for Seattle so I’m guessing we should get a notice next month for an interview in March. That’ll be 18 months since we filed. Crazy!

Just wanted to let everyone know.  My wife and I are in northern NJ, and had recently sent an online inquiry last week since our case was outside the normal time of processing in Newark, NJ.  Our receipt date was September 27, 2019 and biometrics were collected in Elizabeth, NJ on October 17, 2019.

Got a reply within 24 hours saying that they are scheduling an interview for us.  Yesterday, 1/25, the online portal was updated saying that an interview was scheduled for us and they will mail a notice.  The notice has not appeared on the portal and we have not received it via mail yet.

Will keep everyone posted about how things go next.

Congratulations! I’m still waiting (Seattle office) but I’m not outside normal processing time yet. Filed September 30, 2019. Online inquiry can only be done for Seattle for people who filed before April 6, 2019 because 17-22 months is their “normal”.
