Montreal Interview Location

I am an Indian citizen currently in Canada on temporary resident visa. I submitted AOS and supporting documents and chose Montreal as interview location.

But I got a request asking for additional documentation to prove my residential status in Canada as a citizen, PR, worker or student. There is no mention of visitor in the list.

Will sending Montreal details of health reasons why I plan to stay most of the time with my son in Canada and hence requesting for Montreal as interview location be helpful or would I have to change interview location to India only?

Generally, one must be a resident or citizen to interview with the immigrant visa unit. What visa do you have precisely?

I am a visitor in Canada. My son and daughter are Canadian PR holders. Due to old age and health conditions, I cannot live by myself in India. Hence, I stay in Canada with a multiple entry Canadian tourist visa and extend it when stay period is about to expire.

A tourist visa is almost certainly not going to cut it, sorry. You can reach out to Montreal to confirm, but it would be an exception to the rule to allow it, not the norm.

Edit: Note that this is not a "temporary resident visa".

If I request for a change of interview location from Canada to India, how long is that expected to delay my process by?

If the case is still at NVC, you can send them a request via email or online via askNVC to make the transfer. I don't know current response timelines, but it's often in a measure of weeks.
