My fiance spent the last year in Saudi for work. She has been back in the Philippines for the last 2 months. Will she need any NBI type clearances from Saudi or just the one from the Philippines.

Saudi is a waiver country, you can't get the police clearance outside the country

Registration Criteria: Police clearances are available for Saudi citizens and resident third country nationals. Saudi citizens currently residing overseas must return in person to process the police clearance.

Thanks Guys,

Just trying to stay on top of any unexpected problems.

By the way, she does have her final exit papers from Saudi.

She won't need them for the interview. The US Embassy could care less but you may need them for other process, but never for USCIS, NVC or embassy.

Thanks for the info pertaining to Saudi...

Next question.

She also spent time working in Hong Kong (3/2014 to 5/2015). Does she need NBI for HK?

I have read the instructions for obtaining the NBI. Where would I get the the following?

**the original and a photocopy (for each applicant) of the letter from NVC which contains his/her name and the checklist of documents necessary for obtaining a visa (the one that references the need for police certificates)

NBI is Philippines only.   For A police certificate from H K follow the link , scroll down to the appropriate category

Over 6 months or more residing in ANY foreign country = police clearance required.

Being you are K-1 you will get that from the embassy.

Your fiancee will/might get the Eligibility Letter from the embassy once the case file is at the embassy.   You could try contacting the embassy and ask for a letter listing the requirment.

Not sure if these will help.

The requirement is listed in the embassy checklist online.

Thanks again Hank,

Not wanting to be " tulala dayuhan".

Information says that the HK Police will send information directly to the NVC. I would need something for HK police to use as a "file" number.

Since I am only in NOA1 status, am I rushing things or do I need to wait.
