I-485 questions about military/weapons training

Hello,

I’ve searched other topics about this but haven’t come up with anything definitive so perhaps someone else in a similar situation can help.

Regarding Part 8 General Eligibility and Inadmissibility Grounds, Item 51:

As the spouse of an American veteran do I need to tick Yes for 51.a. “Committed, threatened to commit, attempted to commit, conspired to commit, incited, endorsed, advocated, planned, or prepared any of the following: hijacking, sabotage, kidnapping, political assassination, or use of a weapon or explosive to harm another individual or cause substantial damage to property?” seeing as it was war time... I don’t think I need to go into details.

And also for 51.f. “Received any type of military, paramilitary, or weapons training from a group or organization that did any of the activities described in Item Number 51.a.?”

Any input on this or advice from AOS filers in similar circumstances is appreciated.

All of the questions in that part of the i485 are asking if the applicant did those things.

Did you do those things or did your spouse do those things?

Hi, thanks for the response. For Item 51 it is asking if I am the spouse of an individual who ever “committed” etc.

I guess I’m just confused if serving in the military on active duty falls under Yes...

Pardon me then. Unfortunately I dont have every USCIS form memorized and you did not quote the entire question.

Your answer will be yes.
