Hi,

I have a question on I-130 processing in F2A category.

My I-130 PD is May 4,2018 at CSC.I know i have to wait for some more time for my I-130 approval as i have waited for this long(1 year and 3 months now)

I have seen lots of approvals from Jan,Feb,March and April ,2018 in the facebook group i follow ,even though the USCIS processing time webpage shows Case inquiry date as August ,2017.

I am happy that things are moving fast or people with PD in 2018 are getting approvals.

But i have the following questions.

  1. Does the I-130 approval is based on PD or based on PD and country.?
  2. I know that when the beneficiary is not in USA,the application goes through NVC. And most of the approvals for I-130 i noticed seems to be for application with beneficiary outside of US.Am i wrong on this,

Appreciate your thoughts on this.

Hi,

I think you can expect your I-130 approval in next few weeks. I have a friend who's PD was 29 April 2018 got approved last week.

But since USCIS was fast to process 4 months of applications in just few weeks. It seems like now NVC is getting slow in processing those approved I-130s.

My PD is 17 Nov 2017

I-130 approved on 26th June 2019

still no update from NVC. Its been two months now and NVC still did not received my file from USCIS.

So it looks like my I-130 was approved 6 months early than Priority Date shown on USCIS website. but now NVC wait is longer than usual.

I contacted USCIS to know my status and I was told to give at least 90 days to complete the transfer of file from USICS to NVC. (Usually it takes about one month)
