Travelling to USA while waiting for CR1 visa

Dear VJ pals,

I will soon visit my spouse in US to spend some time tegother.

As I am in the process of a CR1 visa, I believe that at the port of entry the officer will immediately see after scanning my passport that I am in the process of an immigrant visa right?

I am wondering since I read in a forum that officers cannot see this.

I think the opposite though.

Anyone who experienced this to tell us what is true?

Thank you

There is already a major thread discussing this topic. Basically, yes you can visit.

if they do see it and IF they do ask of course be honest but show you have strong ties with intent to return to your home country.
