What does the packet have? Do I get to keep it after i show it to the immigration officer?

Thanks

The DO NOT OPEN envelope is to be handed to he CBP agent at POE, nothing in that envelope is for you to keep unless the CBP agents hands it back to you.

The envelope contains your original I-129F petition, all documents submitted at the visa interview.   The CBP agent literally ripped my wife's DO NOT OPEN envelope open and had papers scatters all over the counter

As others have said, you will not keep it. All it has is your 129F, evidence you submitted, I saw copies of the medical, a few pages of government forms attached to certain things. everything seemed to have a lot of colorful stamps and initials all over a bunch of pages. At the POE the IO went thru every page fairly slowly after he did as Hank suggested above and just ripped it open with papers everywhere, but couldn't find the medical. Nothing too exciting added to the packet that I saw, and he only seemed interested in a few pages, the rest he could care less about. I know the medical form was top of his list. After he saw that, we were on our way.

Mine was sliced open in front of me. It was a nice surprise to see all the forms and documents we had submitted over 10 months earlier. My medical report was also in there and interview notes from the embassy.

I am so bummed that I did not even get that awesome DO NOT OPEN packet... ☹️ I even had my line of "I have come bearing gifts" all ready for POE but no such fun 😀
