Oh I’m the same way! I had to take a break from viewing posts several times during this entire process so far!Β

Β

Same!
I'd actually taken a "forum-break", but then it drove me crazy to not see any updates again, even if they weren't my own! Kind of a vicious cycle... but... one day closer! (<- a little bit of optimism lol)

On October 10, 2019, we sent you a duplicate notice about a decision on your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number LIN19900*****, or describing how we will process the case if it is still pending. Your case is located at our Nebraska Service Center location.Β

It finally happens!!!! My I-130 was approved and sent to NVC on Oct 8 (yes I did the I129f). Quick question. Do I just sit and wait for NVC to email me saying they received my case, or can I track it? Is there anything I can start doing now to get a head start? I wanna slide off this whole thing like butter hahahha

They will not call to inform they received your case/file.

It's your job to find out.

But they will send you an email when a case number has been assigned for you.

Β

For the mean time you can go to their website and start assembling the necessary paperwork for both petitioner and beneficiary

that are outlined on there.

Thanks for the info.Β
Is it even possible to find out when they receive my case while I wait for the email with the case number? If so, how would I go about that.Β
And yes, I’ll start gathering all the documents need ASAP. Thank again.Β

Β

Count 15 working days from when your case was sent, then start bugging them.

Your best bet will be to try as much as possible to reach them at the first hour to reduce your wait time.

Β

Here's a rundown on how to go about it all:

Β

Phone Number

NVC - 603-334-0700Β [HOURS: 7am - 12am EST, M-F]

  • Press 1, for English
  • Press 2, for Spanish

After pressing 1 for English, the options are:

1, to verify priority date
2, to establish an agent, request fee bill or invoice number
3, to verify that they received your mail
4, to confirm date and time of interview
5, to update your mailing address, phone number, email address
6, if your case is at a US embassy or consulate overseas
7, for all other questions

When should I look for this? I filed way back in October 2018. Still haven’t heard from Nebraska Service Center 😐

We filed October and got Nebraska also... we received our notice last week... so I’d be keeping an eye on my mail if I was you, could be anytime now...

Β

Well, USCIS website finally updated to say I130 approved... only took 11 days post receipt of written letter, case tracker not yet updated... still no text or email alerts even though turned on..

Β

goes to show, your notification can come in all different ways

Congratulations on your Approval!!! It’s been since October 2018 since I filed. I received my NOA1 on November 1, 2018. Rather quick but nothing since November last year.Β I’ve called, and Β looked online and it all says in β€œprocessing” and that’s it. πŸ˜³πŸ˜πŸ’†πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

That’s normal, you’ll not hear anything until they look at your case.... highly frustrating but shouldn’t be too much longer for you 🀞

Right now Nebraska is taking about a year for approvals, so you will likely get word in the next month.Β
