Can we be family once again

This journey is as stressful as it can be

We need love and understanding, and especially to be patient with one another

I don’t see how timelines are useless just because of K3s. If you see an early approval, check their timeline notes to see how, since many I’ve seen usually explain it if they used I129f or expedited, or if they don’t have it in the notes, you can always just message and ask. Not a big issue, really. Honestly it’s especially useful because you can see how they got it to be faster. Plus like JMPM already said, timelines are still useful for NVC and embassy. If you don’t like the timelines on here because of K3 filers you can always just check USCIS’ timelines instead 🤷‍♀️

I’m with you on this one! Agree!

I guess timelines are not useless, but timeline data will be. Estimates, for example, are no longer based on actual I130 info but rather K3. For a data set that actually makes sense, people who got approved for through the K3 should actually not fill in their timelines.

Timelines for NVC and embassy is useful, but those are pretty predictable to begin with and don't take 12/14 months.

Whether you like it or not, from a statistics point of view timelines with a K3 are not good.

I think with an increasing amount of k3 filers, the process for everybody would eventually slow down again. Just because they have to squeeze time to deal with double amounts of cases now( cr1/ ir1+ k3). But it doesn't hurt to try since so far the result has been positive. At least for now it's still a trick that's shared within small community. I regretted I didn't find out k3 soon enough lol And I have waited a year for nothing. Anyway, I love vj and I have learnt many useful info from here. We need to support each other. Timelines are still useful regardless, but if people don't feel comfortable to share them, we should respect their choices too.

I don’t have a problem doing it, but I honestly have no idea where and how because I’ve never looked at it

There’s no cult. But when people are super aggressive and pushy about it, others don’t want to do it.

It doesn't bother me if you do or don't. (but it does help the stats). I just saw a chance to use the giant emoji(?) thing and had to do it. 😃

Timelines are becoming useless now with the amount of K3 filings. There's no way to differentiate between K3 and non-K3 I130 filers and it screws up the entire dataset. I never filed for a K3 and am waiting patiently for my NOA2.
