It will really depend on two things:

- if your married to a usc or resident

- the efficiency and backlog at the embassy within your country of origin

can be as fast as 2-3 months for usc spouse in low risk country with few immigrants vs 6-12 mths or more for resident spouses from high risk, busy busy embassy,

AOS Journey

  • I-485 etc filed 23 April 2020
  • NOA1 I-485 June 3 2020
  • NOA1 EAD 23 April 2020
  • Biometrics 5 Jan 2021
  • EAD approved 12 March 2021
  • Interview Completed 24 March 2021
  • EAD Card Received 1 April 2021
  • Case under review 2 April 2021
  • New Card is Being Produced 25 September 2021
  • 10 Year Green Card Approved and Mailed 27 September 2021 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

Who knows... some embassy are harder than others.. It’s kinda like USCIS.... a lot of pot luck on weather or not the guy with the stamp is having a good or bad day... knowing my luck, we’ll get approved around Christmas when everything shuts down and I’ll have to wait for someone to get off an extended vacation 🙄

When is your PD?

I am hoping for December - January approval, but the 12-16 months processing time on their website makes me think I Won’t get my approval till later. Thinking about filing I-129 but my husband is all worried and thinks it might screw things up somehow.

So far it has been only a huge succes with the I-129f, we had the same doubts, but after reading into it more the worst thing that can happen is that the K3 gets approved, but its probably still faster since the timeline for nebraska i-130 gets worse everyday. Were making the final pasphotos today and going to send it in. Fingers crossed.

Oct 7th 2019: Delivered

Oct: 11th 2019: Received NOA1

March 30th 2020: I-130 Approved

April 13th 2020: Case received by the NVC

May 1st 2020: NVC Welcome email received

May 1st 2020: Paid Bills, processed on May 5th 2020

Hey everyone.  Been on and off this site while dealing with the horrific wait times that are constantly pushed back further and further and found some dude had posted a link to the old USCIS website which shows when your file has been touched.  Hooked myself up an account and saw no movement since mid Feb 2019.

NOA1 for our I-130 was 20/9/18.  Reached the 1 year mark 3 days ago and not seeing any "touch" on my file was starting to get agitated at the wait.

Walking into work this morning my phone went off.  One email notification and the app notification. Case was approved 23/9/19

We didnt go for the I-129f when it started getting a bit of buzz a few months back as it was showing 10 (ish) months for cases back then.
Hang in there guys.  Complete waste of a year, a strain for anyone going through this.  But as with my case it does happen.  And unexpectedly.

Best of luck to you all.  Just hope that from Australia the wait with NVC and Embassy isnt too much longer

Awesome news, congrats!

My husband shares the same opinion - that filing the I-129F might mess things up or cause further delay. I can’t take it anymore though because looks like the wait for Nebraska keeps getting longer, so we’re going for it! At least we did everything we could. Really hoping this works.

Moscow Embassy has been actually very quick...

My spouse is from Moscow and based on some reviews i read on the Moscow Embassy, it's faster than most.

Will probably end up doing the same... good luck!

Oh no way, that’s awesome! I guess it’s just the non-immigrant visas that have super long waiting times. You guys might be ahead of me, so I will be keeping an eye out for any updates from you to gauge how long the process will take
