Alhamdulilah Praise be to God my I 130 was approved yesterday :)

I 130 NOA 1  12/7/2018

I 129 F NOA1 8/7/2019

I130 NOA2 9/20/2019 No email update,  just checked online yesterday on https://egov.uscis.gov and then also saw update on cases tracker.         mygov is not updated. no mail letter yet.

I 129 F Denied 9/20/2019, was updated a little later at night on egov and case tracker.

Best wishes to everyone. Thanks for all the support from this forum!

BTW I did call USCIS last week for an update but the person was a tier 1 so I did not get much help. Later on 9/17/19 just a few days before my I 130 was approved I got a satisfaction survey call from USCIS on an anonymous number  from a really nice lady who said not to give up hope and be positive and she gave me tips on how to reach a tier 2 immigration office on the phone line.  Has anyone else gotten such calls ?

from what i have seen here it takes around a month after your case is received, and around 2 months after your I-130 approval. So i think we should get a case number in around two weeks  :clock:

I got RFE for 1 Passport Size photo. I am 1000% sure I included that in my petition. They have surely lost it and now I have to send it again.

In RFe there is an envelop from USCIS and its instructed that I have to put my RFE response inside that USCIS envelope but I actually wanted to send it through USPS priority mail instead of USCIS regular mail. Will it be any issue if I do that?

How long will it take to adjudicate my application?

Thank you in advance..

Quick question, I see a lot of people request the K3 (almost everyone). Did one of you applied for that one with your spouse living with you in your country? I see that so many people got denied, why do they get denied? I want to file for it too, but my husband lives with me i don't want to risk our current ongoing i-130, but the time line is getting worse everyday.

let me know!

Feb 14 2019: Send I-130(a)
Feb 19 2019: Delivered

Feb 21 2019: Received NOA1 assigned to Nebraska Service Center

Oct 2 2019: Send I-129F

Oct 7th 2019: Delivered

Oct: 11th 2019: Received NOA1

March 30th 2020: I-130 Approved

April 13th 2020: Case received by the NVC

May 1st 2020: NVC Welcome email received

May 1st 2020: Paid Bills, processed on May 5th 2020

May 15th 2020: First initial submission

May 26th 2020: Final submission

June 1st 2020: DQ NVC

Waiting for interview letter..

K3 is basically to eliminate the physical distance between a husband and wife while they wait for their immigration process to complete. Its a visa on which your spouse ( currently lving abroad) can come to the US and live with you while you wait for your spouse visa to approve. If your spouse in already living with you in the US then that nullifies k3 visa (i guess).

The K3 gets denied because they are working on administratively closing the K3, so they instead approve the I130 petition for CR1/IR1 so that the I129f can be denied. Not sure if it works for those living together abroad but I certainly don’t see any harm in trying
