So my husband just called USCIS and the same bull as always, but the agent did say that their system showed there's nothing negative in our case, so I assume someone already started looking at our case. She did just straight out lie and said they are mostly approving june cases now

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ here, it actually says june 5th now, you can totally submit a request online, honestly, do that as soon as you can, you never know when they might increase the processing times

I already summited it on aug 13, still waiting for a reply. This is my second time submitting and I hope I don’t get a generic answer again.

I don’t think so, I didn’t at least

If we want to minimize even more the minuscule chance of getting the K-3, would it make sense to have some things wrong/missing in the I-129F to ensure denial? I'm just thinking there's not point in trying to fill it all in perfectly to avoid an RFE when we want it denied anyways.

For all we know they don't even read through it. They just cross-check it to see if I-130 has also been submitted then deny right away.

Yeah, it was approved June 23rd and not received until July 26th and didn't hear anything until Aug 19 or 20th I think. This whole process has been ridiculous! No reason in hell that a husband and wife have to be apart for 16-18 month simply due to the USCIS office they were doomed too when others with same countries and file date that were blessed to go to Potomac have already been approved and starting life together around 6months from the file date. That is INSANELY unfair and I'll continue to raise hell with everyone that needs to hear this even after she's here.

The waits are another ridiculous problem... It's a nightmare for anyone that works to deal with that nonsense. I'm sure anyone overseas as well...

Did you have to call them and ask if they received it...

Now ya got to wait for the ds260. More waiting.. man. Yeah ridiculous

Our senator's office called Nebraska yesterday. They said our paperwork has now been assigned. Our date was August 7, 2018. Anybody have any idea how long it takes from Nebraska to finished at NVC?

I didn’t, I just filled it out as normal. It seems their protocol is just to look for the attached I130, last I heard there was only 3 K3s approved this fiscal year

It's so interesting to see you guys get so quick approvals using this k-3 method. Kind of got me wondering why they haven't caught on yet, lol. I'm also wondering how it works from their end.

The processing centers get judged by performance on how quick, and how many cases they approve per quarter. By filing a I-129F jointly with a I-130, they have an opportunity to swiftly approve two applications/petitions when they're grouping the files together. So, instead of grouping them, discarding them for later, and then reviewing them, i think someone made the administrative decision to review them at the instance when they're grouped to be more efficient. So, the reason why they havent caught on is because it is actually benefiting them, and not doing them any harm whatsoever. Seems like they're saving themselves from having to do double-work - which is a win-win for everyone involved, especially the beneficiaries.

This is just my theory - there's no factual reference to this, just thinking logically here.
