hubby bought tickets to come to brazil in sept, I can't even believe, at least the waiting time will not be so hard for a month, it would be awesome if it gets approved while he is here, which is very likely since he will be here most of sept and beginning of october

BTW, i keep seeing this old vs. new site thing? Can someone explain which is which?

The old site is here: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do and the new site, which is sort-of a combined thing for a few services including E-Verify is here: http://myaccount.uscis.gov

It is very mysterious how sometimes only one seems to get updated. You'd think they'd pull data from the same source, but I guess not.

Well, the joke’s on me. I’m in Texas and I assumed that my case would be assigned to TSC. Just saw that my case starts with LIN and that means it’s assigned to Nebraska Service Center.

So, I’m joining this wonderful thread .... nothing is more taxing than the wait with no information on what’s going on.

My case is I130 for parent (IR5). Receipt date 10 May 2019 .... This is for my Mom and she’s old. I just want to be able to take care of her.

Is the USCIS site not working for anybody else?  Nothing comes up when I enter my case number or log in and click on my case.  Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I get confused when people say “case tracker” because I know many use an android app.

It‘s been having issues since last night, I noticed it around midnight my time (both on website as well as through app output).

The Case Tracker app is now also back in the apple app store, for all ios users who have been wanting it but couldn’t find it anymore :)

When I was trying to call, it was going straight to automatic answer and was telling me to call back later. I kept trying and after 5 times, it worked. I was hold for 45+ minutes. The rep told me that they received the case on 13th and it can take upto 8 weeks for case number.

I would call just to make sure that they have received your case. Even though it might not sound like big deal, me and my wife both felt that at least we are slowly moving along this journey and getting closer by each passing day.

I will probably call them just to make sure they have it. At least that way you know when to call them back about case number. I will probably call them first week of September or based on what they say on their website.

I worked up the courage (or patience?!) to call and spent 30 min on hold. Once answered, though, the rep was very efficient - I think it took less than one minute to learn what I needed.

Turns out our petition was received same day as yours, on Aug 13, two days shy of a month after NOA2.

I must say I'm incredibly relieved: we're done with Nebraska for good, and it didn't get lost in transit! 😁

So I just called USCIS about my case status and got a rep within one minute. When I asked for a Tier 2 officer, she was very polite and helpful, but indicated that they would call me back. Is that normal, or can you get through immediately to a Tier 2? (I am not approved yet, so I am asking about USCIS not NVC)

Tier 2 will call you back. At least from my very persistent experience anytime I called. It averaged under an hour but there was a few that was beyond an hour.

Yeah I called exactly at 8am, but not return call as of yet, so close to 2 hours.

I am glad to see that people have been making good use of the K3 option. Earlier this year i created a thread called "K3 Viability for 2019" to get the conversation going again. What Nebraska is doing with the I-129F's are quite anomalous - probably internal administrative direction to deny I-129Fs and then expeditiously approve the I-130s. I am curious to know if this same processing is occurring in other Processing Centers. I had a conversation with my lawyer about the K3 supplementing the I-130 in time sensitive cases (which might be all of them), and he had a case where the I-130 petition got approved in less than three months - at the Nebraska Center. So this idea is definitely helping out a lot of people get quicker review times. This will benefit the curious and the inquisitive people who are looking for quicker ways to help themselves - so the reader should read this proactively.

I filed my I-130 on June 13th.  - PD June 17th.

I-129F on August 7th - PD August 12th.

I will be monitoring my cases and will give you guys some updates.

Best of luck to all.
