Do you know when April should be expecting there own approval

No way to know for sure but if they keep on this pace, maybe by March?

Oh about those transfers .. many of them have already been approved. Some of them were sent to DoS for visa processing (I'm guessing that's the NVC part), which I guess it also means approved.

Yeah I assumed they would be pretty quickly approved, their times were already way past here once they got to the other service centers that are so much further ahead, if they’re sent to DoS then they’ve also been approved

Our CR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

The status for the DoS cases never showed approval. It just went directly to "sent to DoS". I wonder that type of I-130 that was. Maybe for people residing in the U.S. already? Don't know.

Please kindly check when is the turn for April

Like @LilyJ said, there's no way to tell.

All I know for sure about the amount of 2019 I-130 cases left is this:
26% in Jan.

60% in Feb.

90% in March.

Likely many if not all are just regular approvals, when ours was approved it skipped straight to "sent to DoS" too, never got approval update online! Definitely not those already in the US since those adjusting status don't go to DoS/NVC (since they are not receiving visas but changing their status)

That's weird. But where was your case at the time? Did you check if actually went to the NVC at the time?

Yeah, that's what I thought too.

Yeah, that's what I thought too.

My case was at Nebraska, I had gotten approved a week before (called after my I129f was denied + got the snail mail) and a week after approval the status changed to "sent to DoS", got case number around a month later, never updated to "approved" online though, actually my.uscis never updated at all even still!

Hey everyone!  I thought I would join you guys as I just got the terrific news that I have been assigned to Nebraska!  I'm going to be pouring over all of your posts over the next few days to see what, if anything, I can do to actually get my I-130 approved in less than a year.  I didn't even have the heart to tell my wife the wonderful news.  I know everyone says it will never work but I'm going to get her to just apply for a visitor visa in a couple of months and hope for the best.  My wife has never even been in the US.

Hey and welcome! Know that you're not alone. We're all waiting. I tried to get mine expedited but can't find a justifiable reason to get it expedited.

I say file the I-129f right away for the K-3 visa. It doesn't cost anything but it may help.

Other than that your wife can visit the states while waiting for the I-130 to be approved. Just make sure she can show that she plans on traveling back to her home country. This could be a work contract or maybe just a lease agreement or a return ticket. Of course don't think about her overstaying her visit to the states.

Hang in there man! Good luck

USCIS Stage:

  • Nov 12 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • Dec 17 2019: I-129f Received
  • May 15 2020: I-130 Approved!

NVC Stage:

  • May 16 2020: Case Created
  • May 16 2020: Fees Paid
  • May 22 2020: Sent IV & AOS Packages
  • May 29 2020: Request for more documents (proof of assets)
  • May 30 2020: Resubmitted NVC documents
  • June 15, 2020: DQ'd!

Thanks!  I appreciate the support.  I know I shouldn't complain.  My wait has just started but we have been through the whole K1 visa process and was denied so this feels a lot like Groundhog Day but a lot worse.  I was hoping to have some good luck for once.  She has never been to the US and conventional wisdom is that there is no way that she can get a visitor visa with an I-130 pending.  I have heard of some being successful but apparently that is rare.  I already have my K3 package assembled as it is nearly identical to our original K1 package.  The receipt notice just showed up today on the system as we filed online.  From what I have heard, the whole K3 trick is not working anymore but I am definitely going to try.  It won't hurt.  Do you know of anyone that has successfully obtain a visitor visa while they had an I-130 pending?  I'm thinking of buying a condo down there in Rosarito as an investment property and a place for her to live while we wait.  I can have both of our names on the deed and was hoping if she could show she owned property in Mexico that they would agree that she has intentions of returning.  With doing the whole K1 and now the I-130 and K3, surely they can see we are, and have been, trying to go about this properly.  Why would she jeopardize her future by coming into the country on a visitor visa and not returning??  She has to go back if for nothing else - the green card interview.  I don't know.  I'm an engineer and obviously make the mistake of trying to inject logic into this whole process.

I have another question....  When I file for my K3, will it automatically go to Nebraska as well?  The reason that I am asking, is that when we filed our K1, it went to California.  If our K3 goes to California, there's a good chance that we will receive our NOA2 from there long before Nebraska even knows that our application is even there.  Just curious.  I know everyone says that they don't issue K3's anymore but this type of wait at the USCIS stage and then another year waiting for an interview is exactly what K3's were meant for.

Yes it will be nebraska you have to add the copy of your noa1 when you file it. So they will attach it to your existing case.:)
