Hey everyone. I submitted my wife and stepsons i130 in October. My stepsons was accepted on Oct 21 but we used an expired form for my wife because I'm an idiot and I was out of the country so my wife's didn't get accepted until Dec 2.

Anyways, reading this thread I guess its looking like we won't hear anything for about 11 to 13 months. And the k3 visa to get them over here to the USA faster is a complete farce.

This is depressing.

I requested an expedite and sent the requested documents about a week ago and today my case changed to "Request for further information received' and further says that it has been assigned to an officer. Does this mean the expedite was approved or do they still have to approve the expedite. How much longer does it take to get approval/denial for the expedite now? It has been 395 days already smh.

Does anyone know of any cases where people filed I—129f after the loophole stopped working and it didn’t help get the approval faster, but I-130 still got approved within 12-13 months.

My fear is that they might keep I-130 pending for however long normal processing time for I-129f is, instead of approving I-130 when its turn comes.

There were few cases where the petioner didn't get any decision on their I-129f but their I-130 was still approved.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that there were 6+ I-129F denials a couple of days ago.

I-129F for K3 is now processed along with its respective I-130. You have to wait and see.

The K3 will not work for your step mom, only spouse..

not a farce, it’s a valid visa for use.. however unlikely to be issued.

Stepson not stepmom. I know he would need the k4.

If the k3 is never issued I think they should just get rid of it.

My PD for the I-130 is May 30, and the I-129f was filed in Oct. No news on either. Frustrating to say the least.
