I really don't see how it sped things up that much when it still took a year from NOA1 to interview. If that is the case the rest of us are looking at about 14-16 months without the help of the I-129.

Genrally speaking... i130 is only the first step, which takes 12-14 months..

so yes, f129 k3 increased the speed.. they filed 5 months after me.. were still stuck at NVC.. nil f129 filed.. 15 months so far..

Starting to think that filing I-129f after the loophole supposedly stopped working hurt our case and added additional wait time

We did the same thing, but did not get the K-3 application in until mid-October.  By that time apparently someone higher up said stop processing them and ignore them.

Same with us. Filed October and nothing. Frustrated to say the least! If they did it for a few they should do it for all or not at all!

I just hope it didn’t make things worse for us since they stopped doing it

Shame they’re now processing them in Texas and Potomac like they were in Nebraska. Our i129f has been in since August and we still have no movement.

Right. I’m saying I hope it didn’t delay the processing time for our cases since the loophole stopped working

My best guess here is if it didn't cause your case to speed up, it will probably be processed within the normal timeline. So, best case scenario 12~12.5 months, and worst case 16+ months in processing.

If it passes the stated processing times, then you can actually get it expedited. So, good news sooner or later.

UPDATE:

For January cases, good news as there aren't that many left. At the current rate of processing, I estimate roughly around 28-30 business days to completely process ALL January cases.

Edit: the above estimation doesn't account for cases transferred/will transfer. This makes the total processing days around 8 days less, at the current rate.

That’s what I’m thinking. People who filed the I-129F shortly after the I-130 should be able to expect a decision on I-129F within the normal processing time of 7.5-9 months. And as you said - if there is no feedback on I-129F, an inquiry can be submitted.
