Thanks for sharing that! Ugh wish I knew sooner. Yes, I put that I'm unemployed on my I864 so it makes no sense to me on why they need a statement about it, but it is what it is. I called them because it said "Upload proof of [my] current employment", and obviously I have none, so I called and that's what they told me to do and to put it under "proof of current employment" category, so now I'm just hoping it doesn't take too long and that they review our docs again soon!

We just used an app called "Passport photo - ID photo" on the iOS app store, but I'm sure pretty much any passport photo app will do as long as it's got a guide to show you where to have the head at! We just had my husband stand against our white wall, and used the flash on my phone to make sure that there was no shadow, and then uploaded it and they accepted it which I'm glad about! I hope you hear about your case soon 🤞

There are many things most of us wish they'd known sooner, but it's not worth it to beat yourself up about anything, especially if it's already happened and led you to where you are, here and now. It was meant to be as it is. And like you said, it is what it is.

It builds up to your happiness in the end when all is finished and done with.

Processing times on USCIS website is up to 16 months now for I-130. Their timelines are bogus at best.

According to some statistics I gathered, they're now processing cases in January 2019. So, I expect a quick turnaround for backlogged cases in December 2018 (most of which has already been processed a while back), at least once holidays are over.

It‘s been up to 16 months in October and then came down to up to 15.5 months. The posted processing times are roughly 2 months old when they‘re posted though, so actually they‘re never really accurate. Also it says on their page that the maximum time posted is 130% of what it takes for 95% of the cases to be completed. So I think it‘s fair to say that the 1 year processing time at Nebraska is still what it‘ll take for the majority of people. Also when checking the timelines on VJ, 11-12 months seems accurate.

Even though many of you might not be able to celebrate christmas with your spouse 😢, we’re still wishing all of you a very merry christmas 🎄🎅🏼😊 and lots of strength for this lengthy process! Hopefully the NSC processing times will become shorter with the new online system next year 🙏🏻

Merry Christmas, everyone!  Here's to hoping next Christmas we'll all be together with our loved ones, and the agonizing wait and separation will be far behind us!

(However, I had this same thought last Christmas, but sadly we're still in it😥...at least we've made it to NVC (PD Nov 2018)).

Exactly! They're using the old calculation method and based on the previous month, and therefore, the timelines are almost always bogus. This is also based on my analysis of some statistics regarding case processing.

Hope to see good results for everyone soon.

well since the holidays are almost over probably it'll go faster. otherwise it takes few weeks for you to get your welcome letter then few weeks for to send package and 6-8 weeks for to hear something or not since I am still waiting on my Documents Qualified.

Hi everyone,

im still waiting for NOA2 from Dec 10th and when I do a search, I notice a lot of cases dated Dec 10th are still in case received. I’m so frustrated as later dates are getting approved. Any feedback?

Thanks

Are you talking about Dec. Of this year? Which petition are you talking about? Nebraska has had our I-130 since May. Today it is 7 months and no NOA2. The I-129f is not helping speed things up any more, so be prepared for a long wait.

OMG!, that’s ridiculous. I can’t understand there algorithm they do there own thing. Yes, my date was dec 10 2018 and nothing yet to the next stage.

That is ctazy that you have not heard anything yet on NOA2. This whole process is not for the weak for sure. Hang in there and by the grace of God we will all start to see Nebraska pick up the pace. Best of luck!!
