We got our approval 4 days shy of one year, not so long ago... fingers crossed you’ll hear something very soon..

at this stage, the holidays don’t seem to be impacting on NVC 🤗 try not to worry..

Thanks for the kind support. That one-year mark is like crossing a desert to a giant sign advertising fresh cool water only to find it dry or with a sign saying "out of business." But yes, there's also more hope that something's waiting for us around the corner. 🥂 Hopefully...

Hey guys,

I wanted to share some estimated statistics based on my recent findings regarding actual I-130 processing times. Although the following numbers should be as accurate as they could ever be, they're not perfectly accurate and shouldn't be considered as such.

Nov 2018 - I-130

Approx. 75-85% of I-130 cases have been processed (approved, denied, request for evidence sent/received, etc.). Only a few cases left that haven't been processed yet.

Dec 2018 - I-130

Approx. 55-75% of I-130 cases have been processed (approved, denied, request for evidence sent/received, etc.). Only a few cases left that haven't been processed yet.

Jan 2019 - I-130

Approx. 5-10% (or less) of I-130 cases have been processed (approved, denied, request for evidence sent/received, etc.). A lot of cases remain unprocessed. The spread of processing across the entire month makes no sense (sometimes a case is seen approved at the end of the month), except in combination with I-129Fs. That being said, it is safe to say that processing of January 2019 cases has already started.

Hope this helps.

There always will be, me and my wife are okay with waiting though, gives us time to do valuable planning and to save up a lot.

Did you submit an I-129f to speed the process?  You got everything very quickly.

It’s a very good way to think of it...

start getting everything together for nvc stage, plus think about your moving, future things you need for that.

I went back to uni for a year in the evenings, did a little upgrading to my qualifications, kept working during the day and saved heavily for things we might need after I get there eg shipping of keepsakes and things I want to take with me, money for second car, lots of things to plan for... nows the time to plan for your future.
