Thank you. But, our NOA 2 was June of 2019. We are STILL waiting on NVC to approve (or deny so we can fix them) my Affidavit of Support and tax documents. They approved all of her documents months ago now. Sept or Oct I think. Dec 10th will be 17 months and we haven't even started with the medical and interview yet. This whole process has been absolute hell...

This process make us sick it's take to long really. But what we can do nothing. Mine almost 15 months. Still waiting NVC accept my documents. Hopfully I will hear some good news next week.

Nebraska getting faster? My timeline estimate changed by a whole month since I've started

I don’t think so, USCIS still says 12-15.5 months; the change could just be from expedites and I129fs on VJ, but hopefully Nebraska picks up the pace soon

  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted

I do remember reading that USCIS is behind by a month or two on its projections and this dramatic change in mine happened in the last 20 days. I have an IOE and I have not seen a single IOE person get a big expedite from the i129f, only LIN.

I'm guessing November and December had less applications compared to previous months which is why Nebraska has started working on some January cases already.

Just a theory. Can't say anything for sure.

Now that would explain the whole "Why have my projections changed so drastically?"

Not all months have similar caseloads.

A while back, I did some research on case numbers starting with LIN (Nebraska before IOE).

The list below is an approximation of how many I130s Nebraska received each month. Expect things to slow down again once Nebraska gets to March 2019.

October 2018: 8451

November 2018: 7403

December 2018: 7239

January 2019: 6304

February 2019: 7224

March 2019: 8595

April 2019: 8517

May 2019: 9498

Yes I figured, August is always the busiest month and that is the month of our PD but if they get to it faster than I'd be happier eitherway.

She benefited for the I-129F (K3) petition as did I. We submitted the I-129F petition about the same time and both of our I-130s were approved about the same time. I am glad I decided to try it out.

eidt: we had "LIN" case numbers.

Same here. We probably cut a good 4 or more months off of the wait time with I129f; We were about 7 months in already though by the time we were approved, but better than 12 months that's for sure

Yea, I submitted our I-130 in May and filed the I-129f in Oct. and it hasn't helped me at all. Our petitions had LIN#'s as well. The end of Dec. will mark 7 months they've had our I-130.  Don't remember if she was at the Nebraska service center or not but her petition went fast, in just a few months. Would love  to know how the I-129f is helping some and not others.  I wish everyone luck.

It seems to me that there's simply no guessing accurately based on other people's experiences. We're now 7 days short of a year waiting for our I-130 to be approved, and at 98 days waiting for our I-129F to be acted on. (Both were LINs.) What once seemed to work to shorten the waiting time (the I-129F) has apparently stalled or been fixed as a loophole. I hope it continues to work for people, but it certainly hasn't worked for us. It's just a matter of waiting and waiting and waiting, which is extremely hard to deal with. I worry that the holiday period is going to slow things down even more – not just for the stage we're in, but for the stages that follow. 😔

We got our approval 4 days shy of one year, not so long ago... fingers crossed you’ll hear something very soon..

at this stage, the holidays don’t seem to be impacting on NVC 🤗 try not to worry..
