I have visited my husband many times and the only time I had an X on the paper was the first time i ever visited the US (no pending application). And since then even with a pending application I have never gotten an X again so it must be some other reason, probably because of the answer one of the questions they ask on the kiosks and the first time you ever visit so they get your fingerprints

Hi Iscir, i dont think its because its my first time in USA. When that happened, its my 3rd time in USA. Not to mention i clearly remember that there were no mistake on answers i provided on each questions they asked on the kiosk. Theres a guy on the other line with me that time (with x mark) and I overheard the same questions CBP officer asked me at the end they figured he also had a pending application.

Even the first time I visited USA the kiosk i used didnt printed a paper with x mark.

Unfortunately the chances of receiving a visitor visa with a pending I130 application is slim to none, as in order to get a visitor visa you have to prove you have no immigration intent, which if you have a pending I130 is obviously not the case. Like SaeedA said, really only possible to visit the US during the process if you have an ESTA or already obtained a visitor visa prior to beginning the CR1 process. Your best bet is to go and visit your wife in India instead as she likely won't receive a visitor visa to come here during the process

Thanks, no vacation left this year from work. In fact I took 2 extra pay loss weeks 😏 this year. I am still thinking of taking that slim chance of applying visit visa, worth it if the process takes such a long time.

It definitely does not hurt to try, I would just be prepared in case it does get denied, however some people do get lucky

Does anyone had any trouble traveling to the us while being in the cr1 process?

Hi,

i am French so travelling on ESTA to the US.

I visited 3 times on CR1 process. First time on NOA1 and 2 times while at NVC. I had absolutely no issue traveling there. I never received an X on my plane ticket or pulled out for further check.

They didn’t even ask me more questions then usual (purpose of travel - visiting husband / what your husband is doing in the US - he is US citizen / how long are you planning on staying - XX whatever the right answer / welcome...)

I did always have on me : return plane ticket, employer letter (stating that I am employed and on holidays until date), my paystubs, bank stubs, NOA1/2...but I never had to show any of it.
Also, before I had my CR1 visa pending I had more then 30 visits to the US without ever overstaying- this probably helped.

Our PD for the I-129f is Oct. 14th so I wonder how long it will take us? It has been 43 days so far. Nebraska has had our petition for the I-130 for 6 months. Good luck everyone!!

I'm looking at i130s only and there are around 8828 for August 2018.

You can look at the file to see the cases numbers are not consecutive. The missing numbers are other cases I guess.

Has everyone posting on this topic been waiting over a year? Did anyone fle the I-129f to try and speed things up and did it work? This whole thing is confusing and frustrating.

We filed I129f 5 and a half months after we sent I130, and 50 days later it was denied and our I130 was approved (7 months after sending I130). I have seen it take up to 3 months (~90 days) after sending I129f for some people

Most people at Nebraska have had to wait around a year. The 129F sped things up for me and several other people stuck at Nebraska. It's worth a try.

You can find the processing times for Nebraska here: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

It has been a frustrating processing indeed. However, there isn't much you can do besides waiting after filing all the required paperwork.

Just fyi, we filed for an expedite last week. The last update we received on the expedite request was an email saying its under review on Friday.
no update after that, but we got the dq email today instead.
also made lots of calls to nvc. on the last call my husband was informed that our dq must be near and today it was here 😃!
not really sure if all of this helped or they just dq’ed us in the normal processing time, just sharing!

I 130 PD December 10, 2018

I 129F PD July 8, 2019

September 9 - Expedite request of I130 via mail (Status of the expedite request: Transferred for review by an officer)

October 5 - Expedite request of I129 by phone

October 7 - Expedite request of I129F denied (no one asked for any evidence. Just denied)

November 5 - Contacted congressman asking for assistance since I130 expedite request was taking way too long. Congressman contacted Nebraska Service Center.

November 8 - Status of both I130 and I129F changed back to "Transferred for review by an officer" and the countdown started from 0 (as if they just received our evidence)

November 21 - no changes to the case(s)

Our NOA1 date is July 10 2018 and we are still stuck at NVC. Many many months ago my congressman requested a expedite and they agreed at the next step (that would be where we have been at NVC now since June something of this year and still waiting on them. My congressman has made several attempts to get them to move it along and even with them putting in writing that they would expedite he basically just gets a F you, we can do whatever we want as their answer. He is dumbfounded how bad this process is and how rude the USCIS and NVC employees are. Best of wishes that your congressman has better luck with them than mine has...🤞🙏

Now that's what I call relief...Lol

Can't wait for you to replace the "dq" above with "IL" soon.

Just a matter of time before you put this roller coaster of a ride behind you.

:joy:
