The updates can be on either websites (egov or myaccount).

Mine shows received, approved, and nvc on https://myaccount.uscis.gov/. Myaccount shows past statuses as well, in addition to the current one. Egov still shows received for my case.

I would recommend checking both.

Ours was sent to nvc two weeks after approval.

Definitely check both. Either one can update, just that for most people it seems to update as sent on egov more often than myuscis; no idea why either site has such lag or differences from each other though

On mine (petitioner’s). Unsure if my husband got one as well. He never checks his email! 😂 Was going to have him check his until I saw we had already gotten it in my email

I think both petitioner and beneficiary receive an email with the case number. At least we did!

This goes out to my Cameroon folks out there (don't know if it also applies to the other countries).

I was contacted this morning by the embassy in Yaounde with the final instructions before the interview.

One of the points they insisted on was uploading evidence of a bona fide marriage alongside the other documents

during the NVC stage.

So I call on you to do some side loading when submitting.

Helps them make a decision faster per the instructions they sent me.

Luckily, I did that without even being told.

So here we go!

What other document other than those  required did you upload?

I did not see anything when I checked over the weekend. However, that does not mean they are not denying them. My I129F denial was never updated on the egov site nor was @LilyJ's.

I would suggest creating an account on https://myaccount.uscis.gov/ and add your I130 petition there as well. Sometimes your case will be updated one website and not on the other.

Hey thanks! I have an account already but it doesn’t provide much information :)

Oct 7th 2019: Delivered

Oct: 11th 2019: Received NOA1

March 30th 2020: I-130 Approved

April 13th 2020: Case received by the NVC

May 1st 2020: NVC Welcome email received

Mine said case received for the longest until I was approved. I had added my 130 case number to it and enabled email notifications.

I wasn't checking it regularly. I preferred checking egov as it didn't require a login. I received an email saying something had changed for my case which is when I checked it to see my case had been approved.

And I was wrong about @LilyJ's case not being updated on egov. For her it was the other way around. Update on egov not on my account. I would say check both.

All the letters say that but it doesn’t mean that it has already been forwarded to NVC sadly, just that it will be. When the case is actually sent to NVC it will update on the website (usually on egov), then around a month later you will get case number. Our case was approved 9/19, sent 9/27, and we got our case number 10/31

Thank you LilyJ🤗🤗🤗🤗

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can answer this for me. I am far from noa2 right now but wanted to get an idea what's the processing time length from when the case number is assigned at Nvc to getting an interview letter?

It varies case by case .. some people get DQ the same day and some wait days , weeks, & months ..just depend how you upload and have everything. And to get a IL that depends on the Embassy your going to be at and hopefully they not backlogged ..

Yes USCIS will forward your case to Nebraska, keep an eye on your online USCIS account for updates, as it will show online (usually on egov) when your case is sent to NVC. They usually send it within a week to a month after approval, I think most takes a couple weeks to be sent but ours was 8 days

Hi, how did you know when they sent it to NVC. We were approved last week and I want to check when they will sent it to NVC. Thanks

Hi, I have a question: Our I-130 was approved one week ago and I am wondering how can we know when they send it to NVC. Where we can see that? How can we know when NVC have our case? Thanks.

Online it will say sent to department of state and/ or you can call NVC to see if they received it .
