Guys I just received a notice on my case tracker which says your LIN——————-  status as been updated then I checked but still says case received, pls does any one knows what that means ☹️

Turn off the notifications for the case tracker. It's bugged in a way that, when I cannot retrieve the data for a case, it considers it a "change" and therefor an update. Which is obviously incorrect. Your case was most likely not updated.

Hi! I'm a bit of a lurker here, but thanks to everyone's advice and experiences, I filed a I-129f last month (notice date is 7/11 and received date 7/5) ... and my I-130 with a priority date of February 19, 2019 has been approved! That's 170 days from NOA1.

My spouse and I are still in shock. It has cut an unknowable number of months from the process and put us that much closer to being able to start living our life together in the US.

For those wondering what to put in the package, we included:

  • the I-129f form
  • a copy of my (USC) birth certificate
  • one passport photo of each of us with names written on the backs (and my SSN on mine), each in a small bag attached to a blank sheet of paper
  • a copy of our marriage certificate
  • a copy of the I-130 NOA1 letter

Congratulations!!

we have same dates as well (received date 7/5 and notice date 7/11) but no update yet. Hoping for good news soon🤞🏼

Has there been anyone that's lived with their spouse abroad that's still tried to file the I-129F?

My husband is living with me here in France and we did it .

And you used your overseas address to match with your I-130 information?

Did you already receive approval?

No we used my in laws address because we had to change our French address after my mom died   and it was not working ..

my I-129 F was denied the 08/08/2019

( NOA1:07/08/2019) and my I-130 approved the same day

It has. Noa2 was July 16 and sent Aug 9.

I’m guessing it’ll be received this week, then another 3 weeks for case number. That is, if it doesn’t get lost, which seems to be happening quite a bit.
