I think we all need to be mindful that doing dual processing eg I130 and k3 is a trend that could backfire... the more people file the more administrative pressure placed on USCIS the slower all processing becomes.. just saying

You know the solution? Manage the service center properly and process petitions on a timely matter. It's a service based on user fees. If USCIS had competition it would go bankrupt because no one would use them. If USCIS didn't collect fees upfront and just had a 10% application fee and a outstanding fee to see results of the petition they would move so much faster.

Telling people not to file because it makes more work that's a problem and bad advice. Apply pressure. It's not guaranteed to work every time.

I got a question... if and when this ever gets approved, how long does it take to actually get through POE? Just wondering because I’ll need connecting flights

Every airport is different so there’s absolutely no way to know. It also depends on how busy that airport is on that day at that time

They’re moving away from service based and have modified their policies to reflect that... and I agree, if they had competition or fees post filing then they’d likely be more productive but that’s never going to happen..

i never said dont file, I just wanted to remind people of the reality before it becomes a trend on an already over burdened system.. the more we file, the more backlogged the system gets... particularly when you consider that the fee paying petitioners are also supporting the processing of none fee paying applications, and I’m not talking family based when I say that

I believe they don't denied every I-129 and approve I-130. These just for cases at least pass 300 days from PD I-130. if they do that mean everyone can apply I-129 even they applied for I-130 3 months ago.

I've seen a person who applied for the I-130 in may/2019 get approved a couple weeks ago, it really just depends

well, I think it's undeniable it works at this point, but it doesn't seem to be this fast for everyone, there many people of facebook who have applied and have been waiting for almost two months, and remember this was only one case, also a long marriage with kids involved, that might have touched someone's heart at USCIS, but when it comes to that we can only wander (if they have hearts or not 🤣)

For the people at the 300 day+ mark, it's hard to tell if the I-129 really had an effect. Only because they are so close to their estimated time.

My I-130 is at 154 days today. Well under 300. I mailed the I-129F on Saturday 8/10, (hoping for NOA1 today or tomorrow).  If my I-130 is approved shortly after the I-129 is denied, the two might be related. Only USCIS will know for sure.  But at least we'll have another story to share. Even if it doesn't help, I feel better knowing I tried something.

I think it is definitely related, there are a lot of people who have submitted I129f when their I130s were way less than 300 days old and gotten approved within around a month after sending I129f. We submitted our I129f 2 weeks ago, I130 in February. We're waiting for the next couple weeks to see what happens

How did you get notified? Our case was sent July 30th and is still not received.

Ours was approved June 23, sent July 26 and still nothing either. I reached out to my local congressman the end of last week to see if he has any better luck than me getting some info from these immigration a-holes... 13+ months in and SOOOOOOOOOOO ready for this B.S. process to be over.
