I wonder if the increase of I-129F denials are based on the K3 petitions. Seemed like a big jump from the 2nd quarter to the 3rd quarter.

Also https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Resources/Reports and Studies/Immigration Forms Data/Family-Based/I130_performancedata_fy2019_qtr3.pdf

Nebraska is really really falling behind. They processed half of what they received with their backlog almost at 100k

Potomac actually for the first time in many quarters dropped behind but almost par in what they received. Texas is still near par as well.

I swear leadership in Nebraska all has to be fired. Another bad quarter. if Nebraska USCIS  was a company they'd be in the penny stock listing.

I was getting worried to be honest, I was starting to think that maybe it just wouldn’t do anything to our case after watching so many people with the same and later PD than us get approved, 50 days felt so long but I’m just glad it finally worked, but it’s so awful that it’s so necessary to send to Nebraska just to get them to not take 13 months in your case :(

Just received notification from the lawyer office that our I130 was approved (NOA2).

Filed in December 2018 and filed a 129F in early August.  129f was denied on Monday and approval came Friday for the I130.

Thanks to everyone who recommended the I129F loophole.  It definitely works!

Now, what’s my next step?!  😬

Next is NVC!!! Get the I864 prepared, police reports for your spouse from any country they’ve lived for more than 6 months since age 16, spouses birth certificate ready, have your spouse prepare for the DS260, and anything else required!! Once you get your case number I would say submit all the fees and documents the same day if you can, to get case complete quicker!

Our CR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)

I have the same date as you for the I-129F. My I-130 date is 3/9/19. But both the old and new USCIS website just say case received. Your denial gives me hope I'll get one soon as well 😃

Just another lovely surprise. 12.5 to 16 months processing times.

After NOA2, how long is Nebraska currently taking to send to NVC?

Do I sit back and wait now for NVC to send me an email or can I be proactive and call them?

It can take 6-8 weeks between NOA2 and case number but some people start calling NVC around 3-4 weeks every few days to try to get a faster update than the email

After NOA2 Nebraska is taking about a month to sent you file to NVC .

once you have the notification that your case was sent to the department of state , count 7/10 days and start to call NVC because they don’t send email to tell you they receive your case
