Hey guys. Do bank statements need to be translated? Or can they stay in the foreign language (French) as long as you can see the name, amount and currency?

We had everything in Spanish translated into English as per the form request. I'd recommend to get them translated to just for peace of mind.

Are the bank statements asked for both petitioner and applicant at NVC stage ?

Why do some submit the I-130, and then the I-129F?

because the I-129 is a requesting asking the Goverment to allow your spouse to moved to the USA to be with you until your I-130 is approved.

There's a theory that submitting the I-129F after the I-130 will trigger a review of your I-130.  Both will be reviewed at the same time.

edit: I say theory because, as far as i know, there's nothing from USCIS stating such. Although there are some pretty good post on VJ about it.

After almost one year we got this morning an email "Request for Additional Evidence". It is not really fair we have to wait one year for this. We are waiting the letter to know what exactly they ask for? Somebody with the same problem? How long can take now? What documents they usually ask for in this RFE? Nebraska is becoming my Hotel California.

So.... My lawyer doesn’t advise that I file a 129f for a K3 on top of my 130 because I got and IOE number with my PD. Has anyone with an IOE # got a faster process of their I-130 filing a I-129F?
