Got it. I’ll just save it because my affidavit is too long already...15 pages. I’m really trying to cut it down. Someone asked me if USCIS really gonna read all that, lol

Mine is 19 pages (before my attorney’s revision it was 24 pages). My attorney is the supervisor attorney at Catholic Legal Services. Most of her cases are vawa and she told me to be very detailed about everything.

As far as the content is worthwhile and important to your case; include it. Remember u might not have another chance to convince USCIS that you are eligible for VAWA so whatever is worth doing is worth doing well.

Also I believe 24pages was too long..this is what sandra always adviced against! Thankfully your attorney, being knowledgeable just like sandra rightly reasoned, edited it down to 19pages!👏👏😊 NICE!!!

I would like to share something super important that I have learned during the period that I worked as immigration paralegal ( I worked during 6 months for my current attorney ). Every time she has a client that received to many RFE and had a high risk of having the case denied she tries to schedule an appointment between the client and USCIS so the survivor has a chance to explain himself in person and clarify any doubts. Talk with your attorney about it in case you receive a notice of intent to deny. It’s not easy to get this appointment but it is completely possible. She has 100% of approved cases. I strongly recommended vawa survivors to seek help at Catholic Legal Services. They are around the whole country. All the attorneys are very worried about each case and that’s why I had confidence to file my vawa. They helped me a lot. I started there as paralegal and I didn’t have a clue that one they I would be a survivor of domestic violence.

Thanks dear!

I wrote a 15 page affidavit initially and another 14 page for my RFE for good faith marriage. I know my spouse for 10 yrs, married for a few months,  so had a lot to write, you don't have to write so much, every situation is different.

Makes sense!👍 every situation is different hence the content and length of the affidavits! Thanks for your sensible input!😊
