The big question is why is the lawyer advocating for withdrawal of the i485? It can be put on hold like I said..except he has ulterior motives!😏😏👎

You’re absolutely right! Probably so they can charge more money. They’re adding to the stress and anxiety us survivors already have to live with, it’s really disgusting sometimes.

Thanks everyone for the input!

So I went back and researched about this and found the exact query on this very forum but another part.

Some 2 people reported the same issue and it turned out that was a regular interview notice. They both received their GC’s after the standard interviews.

Hoping for the best too.

Praying for us all here that we may receive good news soon!

Yea, I don't see why one needs to withdraw an existing marriage based (or any other category) I485 while I 360 is filed. A letter requesting to hold I-485 along with I360 receipt or providing the I 360 receipt at the time of interview should hold the I485 while I360 is pending.

talk to your attorney, Once they know you know your S**t, they will not take you for a ride. Read all the threads here!!

Exactly my reasoning..and argument! I feel the attorney is looking for an avenue to charge for a fresh petition!😏 they have a field day just preying on vulnerable and gullible folks..most of them not all! 👎 it's a no no!

Good morning Family!

Does anyone has experience on traveling domestically while Vawa is pending?

I want to go visit my brother on the West coast and also scout career opportunities there this December (I graduate in an industry that has better opportunities on the west coast).

My lawyers say it should not be a problem but I am nervous.

My history/background

overstay

Marriage based EAD (C9) valid till march 2020

Vawa notice of action May 2019

RFE received 8/19

I have a valid passport from my country and state ID

Can I safely Travel by air? anyone with similar background travelled domestically? please let me know your experience!

yep... there is no alternative to educating yourself, esp for us where we have experienced people taking advantage of our position... including someone we trusted with everything. This is the time to learn a lesson and be our own #1 advocate and that happens with educating ourself. Given this lovely family, this can be done!!

You don't need AP to travel within the U.S.! Your State I.D is fine! For me I just show 'em my drivers licence and I'm onboard!😀 ready to fly! Can't remember the last time I carried my passport...it's always my DL
