VAWA, Part 15

Hi everybody!

I filed my vawa + new i-485 on August 12, 2019. My interview with the abuser was schedule for today. I went with my attorney and I was scared to death thinking of meeting him there so I stayed in the parking lot. Fortunately he didn’t show up ( now I know he didn’t receive the appointment notice)and my attorney was able to talk with the supervisor and gave him the i-485 withdrawal letter ( I didn’t want to ask to hold my i-485 so  later on I can explain to the abuser that I’m applying for other category of visa- I know Vawa is confidencial but he would suspect) . The supervisor told to my attorney to make sure the address that they will send my withdrawal receipt is safe and he said he won’t take any further action and my case will start again now through my vawa.

sometimes right along with your post maybe someone else posts too and maybe we have a obvious answer for them and your post gets lost in the thread as we all are answering to him/her only because it was a easy question. Not saying you were less important but maybe your question was something we didn’t know the answer to . 

My suggestion- post it again ... send pm to some members , some may have an answer some won’t ... try .

sandra might be busy ... be patient try her again in few ... I would suggest you to hire Sandra ... she is awesome .

try to seek pro bono lawyers ... ask a couple of pro bono lawyers and match their answers against each other . 

If the answers match to majority then it may be right. 

Don't give up sweetheart... we may overlook but we certainly don’t ignore .

just be persistent and keep trying and post it again and again.

Wow!😊 nice to hear that..the officer is really nice! Thank God for understanding officers! You didn't have to withdraw the i485 though...but now that you did...you will have to file a fresh one following your i360 approval or alongside your i360 petition! Best wishes dear!🙏👍

Yeah..the PM works..just like I respond to all your PMs! Most folks here used attorneys including myself so we didn't get to fill out the forms in any way...sometimes no answer is better than supplying someone with wrong answer! That's why I said you can't give what you don't have! Truth is often a bitter pill no one likes to swallow...everyone here is amazing...together we make this place intriguing and beautiful! No one is better than anyone else!!! It's a collective effort!!! Unfortunately there are some members that are passive..we never get to hear of them or from them...it's nothing wrong with that..it's just who they are..I can't blame them...folks like us who run around here day and night still take bashing directly or indirectly..but still we stand!!! But then such is life....

and I need to label I-765 as c9 catagory, is this correct?

Hey... don’t worry, atleast not yet. They have been having that technical issue with the case pages comming up blank... hang in there. It will be updated. 😊

My EAD was approved in June and I still haven't received the approval letter yet. Let me know when you get yours.😇

My only concern is that i had a deadline to submit RFE on August 31. However i do have a signed receipt from usps that my package was delivered to uscis but still

save the receipt, if they say the never received it, you have proof and can send another copy. 

I was reading here a few days ago, someone got the RFE letter after the deadline to reply. they wrote to USCIS and sent the reply to follow in days after. 

 

I know it is very scary.... but breathe through it! you are almost there... you applied a while back right?

Good thing you have your receipt dear! You will be fine..but I think the main issue now is the system glitch..even folks who have had interviews had a hard time knowing their faith! It will all come together hun😊👍

Yeah..that's the major issue now on the USCIS site! It's been erratic!

It says it all... ur case was closed b4 and now reopened,  guess you have a pending vawa , maybe someone requested to reopen the case or somewhere some how USCIS have ur i485 number and viewing ur vawa they desided to give u a chance to reopen ur closed i485 ... it's a good thing ,its a good sign my friend.. I wish u success all the way....

Dec 17. Received RFe on June 19. Almost after 1 and a half year

I am checking my case status on website after every half n hour to see the update 😕
