My attorney says the same thing about divorce. If you are not in hurry to get remarried, divorce can wait. I haven't figured out why...

When you renew your EAD, it is treated as a new application, so you are issued a new EAC number.  That does not affect the 6 month extension for your current EAD.

I did renew my Driver licence next day after receiving I-797 receipt, they only renewed it for 180 days. I also ask for a supervisor to handle the renewal since regular DMV employee don't have much knowledge on renewing with NOA receipt and they were giving me a hard time. I received the actual EAD Card 5 month after NOA receipt.

My Lawyer beside the letter she included a copy of my I-360 and copy expired Prima Facie.  

Prima Facie extension was received withing a week or so after submitting the request.

The approval update might still come..lots if irregularities going on with USCIS! If you want to go by the usual pattern you may end up stressing yourself! Some people just find themselves with interview letter..no updates, prior warning whatsoever...

I myself have been waiting since july 2017 and now since march 2018 i see a message that says we have recieved  new correspondence....

Maybe it has to do with the pending security checks we talked about in the recent past! Maybe you'll finally get a response any time now...
