Thanks Dear! Do you know if this is a paper or a card? Or will they replace my EAD with something that includes my AP as well?Β

If you applied together EAD and AP, then you will get the combo card! I have never done this before so i really don't know how the single document looks like, but I'm thinking it will be a document (paper) authorizing your travel..hopefully someone who has it confirms!πŸ‘

I haven't applied for it yet.. I don't have my i-485 receipt bc my wonderful lawyer sent it in my VAWA application and he forgot to make a copy...Β so I've been hesitant to apply. I wonder how long it takes to be approved/denied.Β

I read somewhere that it usually takes about 3-4 months to process..with USCIS wait time fluctuates... You never know! But for your earlier question about if the seperate AP comes in a card or paper form, here's what I found...πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Β

Q8.Β  Will USCIS still issue separate EAD and Advance Parole documents?
A8.Β  Yes. USCIS will continue to issue separate EAD and Advance Parole documents as warranted. For example, you will receive an EAD without permission to travel if you do not request Advance Parole or if your Form I-765 is approved but your Form I-131 is denied.Β

If you apply separately it comes as a greenish paper with your picture on the bottom of it. And it takes a little about 2 months to receive it.Β

Yes, i applied after VAWA approval so it came out separately as a paper. I didn't travel... God knows how much i wanted to though. Several attorneys advised not to, and i didn't have any criminal record or anything like that is just really depend on who you stumble on upon entry, they might not be in a good mood. I chickened out, but hey people over here shared their experience and it went well.Β

I didn't apply yet because I'm scared too. We'll see! Thanks for this great info :)

Do you have any criminal history/record? What is the fear then? Please apply for your AP and if you really have something pressing you need to attend to then by all means go..I've heard of many successful trips! You'll be fine nap_o πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘Œ

I do, I was arrested on a misdemeanor (domestic dispute, self defense with my ex) the case was dismissed though. My grandparents are 88 years old back home...everyday I think about them and that they don't have much time left. This is my only wish to travel but considering my criminal history it's best to just wait.Β Β

Hello Everyone!! Congratulations on all who got approved!!! I do have 3 questions and hoping to get some answers:

1.) For anybody with similar situation, I already have my combo card but I am still waiting for my daughter's approval to travel. It has been 2 months since I received my combo including the authority to travel approval, how long should I expect to get my daughter's?

2.) When should I start getting a medical exam? Should I only do it closer to i-485 interview? ( I didn't do it when I filed)
3.) I am about to leave my current residence but don't know where yet, I thought PO Box is ok to put for change of address but USCIS indicated in the form for change of address as "NO P.O. Boxes"Β  What are my options?
