@Stillwinning!!! my i360 was approved August 13 2019. I have my i485 placed on hold from my previous marriage but did not receive any updates of moved to local office yet. Is there any other way i could know what's going on with that other than check the case online?

My  Local office is Queens, NY. Would you mind to explain me about congressman in the inbox? I don't know how to do that to be honest. 😕

I live in Queens too but discovered local offices are determined by zip code! This means you may be living in Queens but your zip code will pick up the long island field office in holtsville. Aside that USCIS might direct your case to any of their offices with available slots..in accordance with their new policy..they say it's to facilitate speedy processing!💁 alright inbox!😊👍

Did you apply for I 485 with you spoke before you applied for VAWA?

Did you submit the VAWA approval ?they rejected because you didn’t submit the l797(Vawa approvals )or they lost the approval

Guys: Just a reminder (my humble recommendation) that you must keep a copy of all you Packet before submission and request all NOA’s Receipts too for your records.

Officers at Interview dates are asking for them even though they have a copy of pretty much all so keep this in mind including you bank Statements and proof of your jobs/income.

Divorce Decrees are being ask for too or if you don’t have them make sure you have a letter from divorce lawyer stating you are in motion process.

If you don’ get a receipt please requested specially the I360/Vawa Approval Letter.

God Bless You All and my Positive Waves to all still waiting 🙏🏼🇺🇸 💫

Divorce is not mandatory ,all officers ask if the person is divorced ,it’s part of the interview .If the person is still married just has to say “I am not divorced”,that is it and the person doesn’t have to show that filed for divorce or that the person will file soon.VAWA  Law does not require the person to be divorced to obtain the green card

And if you don’t get divorce until the interview? I asked to 3 different attorneys about that. Divorce is not a requirement. In my case for example I have a daughter with the abuser and honestly I don’t feel confident getting divorce knowing that I will have to share custody with him.

You  don’t have to be divorced ok.

It is not related to VAWA.  Did you request a copy of your immigration paperwork from your marriage?  It is the document that is saying that they received the request for information and that they will send it to you when they find it and make copies.  It will be mailed to you on a CD and you can look at it and print it.  It will take about 4-6 months.

I just read now that you asked  the police for some video to be released, is this correct Natalie ? because .USCIS DOES NOT ACCEPT VIDEOS OR RECORDING material, if you are trying to obtain the video forget about it.
