You should read read up on your situation on USCIS website. Use google translate to understand it very well. Also, get a lawyer here. You know anyone in the US who can guide you to a good lawyer who can speak your language as well?

I am happy to tell you all I have a great job as a nurse now, last semester in college for another amazing career and looking forward to getting my life back  slowly!! All of this has me quite on my toes and pressed for time but I read all the amazing news regularly. 

 

Family, I still have not received my prima facia... any thoughts ?  I know there are a few people here who have not even received a receipt yet... any news on your end? 

 

 My timeline: 

 

Pending I485, I131& work permit (C-9 in hand currently, renewing soon) 

may 2019 - I-360 filed

June- receipt received 

july- RFE for good faith marriage received 

aug 16- USCIS got my response and is working on my case

Really? That sounds good then... perhaps give it another month so that they have enough time to get to it if they have not already? I don’t want to write and then get a reply that “ we are working on it, hold your horses” 🤣

Lol 😀 ok cool too! It's a good thing the patience you exude now...great idea for folks waiting..get busy and you wouldn't know where time went...it sure flies when you keep busy!😊👍

Once you have one thing going, it helps. Now that I am working and earning my own money, I am more relaxed than before, give your mind something to focus on rather than the dread and anxiety that comes during tough times. It’s hard to see light when you are in that dark hole.

@dreamer1 I don't think you can request them to issue a prima facie... USCIS just received your RFE, give it another month. Prima facie is issued when you meet all the criterias for VAWA. If they requested you RFE for good faith marriage that means that you did not meet all the criteries at first. They will send it to you after they review your case.  Usually USCIS renew the prima facie automatilly but if no you can request them to do so.

😊😊😊 I got prima facie two weeks after I applied for VAWA! 18months later got 3 RFEs including good faith marriage dear!😕 so it doesn't quite happen the way you describe it...

I received my first prima facie  two months after they received my i360. It is hard to undersant how USCIS works, but i'm sure that they will send it to you.

It really depends on the officer. Your RFEs, if you had received initially, you would have a delay in prima facia. They asked me for stuff initially.

I just wish the delays and back logs were not so horrendous 😑🤣
