You can apply for SSN with the work permit .The petitioner receives the card but USCIS is messy and  several times I received the card instead the petitioner .

Yes USCIS is messy, My lawyer received the Original approval letter of my I-765, but I received the EAD Card at home... I found out EAD was coming to me directly because I sign up for the USPS informed delivery.

Thank You @sandranj. I have sent my EAD/AP combo card renewal package with fee waiver. I hope they will approve it and issue me NOA so that I can request for expedite.

Thank You @Viva for explaining me the renewal process. On I765 and I131 instruction pdf document, it is clearly mentioned that no fee require for renewal if submitting with pending I485 . Pg 13 of I131 instruction and pg 24 of I765 instruction. If they send it back and ask for fee which I hope they won't, I will send the package again with these documents highlighted the part. :-) Also @Braveheart123 and @Stillwinning!!!😊 yes No fee is required to renew you guys were correct. I read that instruction document after submitting my package to USCIS otherwise i would have attach that as well

What’s a usps informed delivery ?

It’s a free app service from USPS that shows you each morning what is being delivered by USPS into your mailbox that day.

 I received several emails people asking about the new Immigration rules regarding public charge.The new rules will be in effect on October 15,2019 and it will change a lot of things for people filing for adjustment of status ,but Vawa petitioners will be exempt of   public charge. The new rules  people who are using or used Medicaid, Tanf, Snap, Housing section 8, local or State cash assistance will make the person inadmissible.USCIS will create a 'DECLARATION OF SELF-SUFICIENCY" that the person will  use when applying for a green card, in case the person is considered inadmissible based on  public charge  the person will have to post a  "bond", and many more rules(400 pages).

I got the USPS informed delivery from USCIS when they Begin Using More Secure Mail Delivery Service, they recommend to sign up https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-releases/uscis-begin-using-more-secure-mail-delivery-service

Here is the USPS informed delivery link to create an account https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action.. This is very good I see all my letter before they arrived to my home, USPS email your photo of the letters and if you missing one of the letter they already email you will received you can report it... Also they will notify you any package coming your way with delivery estimated date and from where was sent...

You may have to personally go to the postal office to verify your identity with an ID if you are not able to do it online I had to do it the way.

Hello Family,

@Sandanj @ @Stillwinning and others:

I urgently need help. I went to defend my self with the help of a pro bono preparing my court documents last year when there was eviction noticed served on me and my abuser.

However, i was long kicked out of the apartment by my abuser before the eviction noticed came. So in the strength of my case with evidence of rent paid. The court judgement says I was not liable for the rent and fees owe and that they will pursue it with my abuser. The property attorney and the manager of the property were there at the court.

To my greatest surprise and distress I received a mail from a collection agency yesterday. About the outstanding of about $4000. They were actually threatening me. It was too bad. Same today few hours ago.

I believe I have a good case based on the strenght of the court judgement. But they insist I was still on the lease.

I need an attorney to help me on this. I dont have money. An attorney, a pro bono that can help on this kind of situation.

I am based in California, Fonatan city to be specific. Any advise on how to go about this appreciated.

Thank you.

Although this not applied to VAWA petitioners is good to know I read the Bonds will be at least $8,100.  The bond remains in effect until the applicant formally requests and obtains the cancellation of the bond when;

● Been an LPR for five years;
● Become a U.S. citizen;
● Permanently departed the U.S.;
● Obtained an immigration status not subject to public charge inadmissibility; or
● Died.

At least is not a completed denial of Adjustment of Status for all others, The government just want Secure Money. 😕

First of all, it is illegal for someone to threatening you over a debt, you can sue them for this harassment and next time they called you let them know the will take action on this treats and for sure they will stop. The court judgement says  you are not  liable for the rent and fees owe and that they will pursue it with your abuser this mean your are not responsible sent the court judgement to the collection agency. ... with the said be in peace....

I just wanted to know if using low cost state health insurance such as Apple care is considered a public benefit. Will it be considered as a public charge?
