I was mentally abused by my spouse  for a while but last week it turned into physical attack with another male included . I ran out of the house barefoot and called 911. They immediately showed up asking me what happened. ER was invited as well. Being diabetic that caused an extreme stress and I was sent to the hospital right away with blood sugar measured on the spot of 584 (people easily die with that levels) I was stabilized at the hospital - they noted abrasion on my left arm from pushing but still waiting for the hospital records as well as police report. I developed diabetes bc of mental and sexual abuse and deportation threats that I was going through last 2 years.

Currently with no place to stay - trying to find shelter but they are all full pretty much. Basically have an idea how to file I360 - working on collecting evidence but being out of home not so easy to collect everything. Filed for a restraint order and approved the same day but ran out of medications, place to stay etc Will have to ask for police assistance tomove out. How to link my diabetes that is definitely developed from horrible abuse with Vawa case?

Please don’t write in your evaluation that you got diabetes because of abuse and his threats of deportation .We know the stress can increase glucose levels and probably was the reason that you  had to go to the hospital and it’s ok to mention this but nobody develop diabetes because of abuse .Be careful with your words when  writing your own affidavit .

Hey All, 

 

finally received the the approval letters. 1 for VAWA, I received EAC under category C14 but this letter says I’m authorized to work under EAC C31 and it says my WAC will be mailed separately, does that mean I’ll receive an extra EAC and the other one says “Deferred Action” approved.

 

did you all receive 2 letters instead of 1?

im also try to file Advanced Parole but I don’t have a copy of my original receipt for my I-485 so I’m wondering if this will cause any delays on my green card interview.

Actually they do consider the wait time, My EAD was also sent by mistake to NBC it was transfer to Vermont on April 24th, 2019 and I got my EAD on hand May 13th 2019, it was shipped from Vermont on May 9th, 2019 So it took around 10 days after the transfer to be process and mail out. 

(But EAD was stock on NBC From August 2018 to April 201, 8 months i also evolve my congress person. But lucky Nebraska Center is not so busy center as NBC is ) 

Oh my god ! That’s along time ! How did you know the date that it was shipped out to vermont ? How i know where is it now ?

I have a USCIS account, they sent me notification of every step they took on my I-765.... with posted date. 

1. Your I-765 was transfer to another office, we mail a notification of why this action was made. 

2. We Order your card 

3 You card was mail to you to the address your provide

4 you card was pick up by the postal office

5 you card has being delivered.

I have an account too ! But i didn’t get any update , i only get the receipt and since then nothing ! I didn’t even get the fingerprint letter , that means it still in Nebraska ?

Wow! This is good..yeah I got two letters..i360 approval notice and deffered action as well...who knows they might mail you the C31 card...but either ways you're good! Your i485 is fine..now you wait for it to be transferred to your local office in preparation for your interview!😊👍

I am  guy but I guess that doesn't change a lot in this situation

 

Same thing happened to me but instead I was outside under a tree in the snow. Think how traumatic that is in the snow being my first experience of snow. Whether you a man or woman abusers don’t care.

Your gonna get 2 approval letters plus C14 already is a “deferred action” category EAD. Good luck on your I-485 interview.

Your lawyer will received a paper letter notice of the transfer, USCIS online may update and sent notification but we cannot rely on the online notifications only.

Guys I have another question, should I file my i485 with my vawa or file after vawa has been approved. I'm worried that if I file it together and vawa is not approved, then I will be put in removal proceedings @sandranjplease I will appreciate your advice. Thanks.

I used to think the same but Sandra put that thought to rest!..it don't matter if you wait or not..you'll still be put in the proceedings if denied! If your spouse is a USC it's best to file at once..concurrently!😊👍

New policy any denied petitions are being sent for Removal proceedings, the difference is ICE priorities. So you can sent your AOS together with I-360, if your abuse is USC.

Hi fam!

Does USCIS require certified copies of original divorce decree or just a plain copy will do? This as part of the package being taken to the interview.
