They sent me courtesy letter..for i693 to update my medicals! Most people receive this RFE prior to interview! So you may likely get it as well...and yeah those errors on the i485 does not adversely affect the adjudication of the petition! We're good!😀🙌👍

Thanks @Stillwinning!!!😊 What is the RFE about usually? I mean the vawa was approved, all the documents from that application should be of guidance, isn’t it? @sandranj would really appreciate your input.

You're welcome dear😊 Yeah usually with an approved VAWA, the i485 is pretty straightforward..if you meet all the criteria to adjust status! VAWA approval gives you the green light..but if you have any admissibility issues..then it might pose a hindrance...but aside that..they want your updated medicals..and you're good!

About this: mistakes on I485, I unfortunately didn’t receive the form from the attorney prior to submitting so only recently I noted a couple on mistakes on it. When I brought it up to her attention and asked if we should just leave this for the time of interview and she said she will be sending list of amendments. They are not material changes to the application, but ministerial changes, thus should not affect review of application. Anyone else had to deal with it?

and another question that I have, what evidence USCIS may be asking for prior to scheduling the interview besides the biometric renewal? Thanks.

You can correct the mistakes during  the interview.

I read through your old posts trying to put together a timeline and I think your attny really messed up. You said you filed Nov 2017- 360,485,765. You should have gotten your EAD a long time ago. The best I can figure is your attny asked for c31 EAD on the 765 he filed in 2017. They should have asked for c09 EAD. If they asked for c31 then it makes sense that you got this denial letter. As the letter states you were issued a C31 EAD when 360 was approved. If the online system shows 360 approved and card was mailed July 2019 that is referring to your c31 EAD. It would be mailed to your attny. They most likely have it sitting in an envelope somewhere.

Thanks for your concern. I’m thinking the same thing but he said they didn’t mail it and we requested for another one. It’s been more than 2 weeks and no response. I don’t know what I have to do now. I’m going to his office again tomorrow to call on the vawa  hotline.

My attorney told me the reason not to file for C09 is my ex husband didn’t file anything for me.

silent watcher here. Following site for a while but this is a first post. After quite a while I decided I will have to file for Vawa - have no choice anymore. I was mentally abused by my spouse  for a while but last week it turned into physical attack with another male included . I ran out of the house barefoot and called 911. They immediately showed up asking me what happened. ER was invited as well. Being diabetic that caused an extreme stress and I was sent to the hospital right away with blood sugar measured on the spot of 584 (people easily die with that levels) I was stabilized at the hospital - they noted abrasion on my left arm from pushing but still waiting for the hospital records as well as police report. I developed diabetes bc of mental and sexual abuse and deportation threats that I was going through last 2 years.

Currently with no place to stay - trying to find shelter but they are all full pretty much. Basically have an idea how to file I360 - working on collecting evidence but being out of home not so easy to collect everything. Filed for a restraint order and approved the same day but ran out of medications, place to stay etc Will have to ask for police assistance tomove out. How to link my diabetes that is definitely developed from horrible abuse with Vawa case?

TIA

Hey guys,

so my lawyer made a big mistake.. I asked him to send me all my case *before* he will file it. He decided to ignore my request and send USCIS my file and later on he send copy of this to me.

I cried so hard! He translated my declaration in the wrong way! Was nothing there as I wrote!! All the situations was not understanding at all! Example: I wrote there that my abuser called me name like stupid , little ####### etc.. lawyer wrote "stupid dog" etc..

How can i fix it? To send USCIS a letter? To explain to them? To send a new one??? Please advise me!! He didn't even waited to my psychological evolution and my doctor diagnosis (I received answers in PM for the last question I posted- thank you so much for it)

Sorry for the English.

To relieve some pressure, here is a joke:

Q:  If it took 8 men 4 months to build a building, how long would it take 4 men to build it?

A:  No time at all, because the 8 men already built it.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
