Thought you said you had an attorney?😳 they not going to regard anything else except from your attorney! Best speak with your attorney so the next step to mitigating the situation is taken!

i didnt get it. means if any immigrant work unauthorized and he/she applied for vawa, he/she can adjust their status?

Not any immigrant, the ones mentioned in that publication...that's including VAWA petitioners..if they worked in the past, they won't be subject to the penalties! Hence are able to adjust status without any problems!😊👍

I'm sure if you bring that to your attorneys attention, he'll be able to tell you if it's the way to go or not! People without attorney are much at liberty to do as they please..but if you are being represented, the authority goes solely to the attorney..so it's best to work it out with them..until they are fired or services completed! Discuss with him.👍

We use a lot of abbreviations in the forums. When people say "VAWA" packet they are referring to the standard procedure for people in the US. YES! You are still able to file VAWA from overseas. You will just use a different process. For people in the US they send the 360 and use the 485 Adjustment of status to get a greencard without ever leaving the US.

You will use the 360 and then once approved you will deal with the NVC and then the Embassy. You will interview at the Embassy and will get a visa printed in your passport. Once you enter the US with it you then will follow the steps to get the plastic greencard in the mail. You will have LPR status though as soon as you enter and will be able to get a SSN if you dont already have one and immediately work. You wont have further dealings with USCIS once in the US until you naturalize if you choose to.

Some one just posted they are still waiting 8 weeks for a NOA receipt. (US mailing addresses). So you may want to wait a while longer since you mailed it early Aug.

Thank you my Dear.  I have SSN but "valid for work only with dhs autorization " . What does it mean?

What is meant? Will the number need to be changed later? Or will he stay when I receive documents from the Embassy with a positive decision?

They issue this card (SSN) to people with DHS permission to work temporarily in the United States.

After completing additional documents, will it really be? or do I need to issue SSN again?

Thank you :)

Your SSN remains yours with that condition..until you adjust status then the condition will be lifted! Simply put..it will only be updated not issued afresh! I hope this makes sense..and to the rest of the members here..I hope I'm right..😕😊👍

Once your VAWA is approve, and you do consular processing, they will ask you if you were issue a SSN before you answer will be yes and you type your current number and it will be the same one.

C31 - Principal beneficiary of an approved VAWA self-petition.

C22- Alien who has filed a completed legalization application under INA 245A (status of certain aliens who entered the U.S. before January 1, 1982).

Hello Sandra,

Before I say anything, I would like to appreciate you for your support on this forum. You have been a source of strength for many.

Now my question.  My approved EAD/AP Combo Card was never delivered because it was sent to my previous address. According to USPS, it was returned to sender ( which would be USCIS in this case ) .

I have sent a notarized letter to USCIS stating that I never received the Combo Card and requesting for the card to be sent back or a replacement card to be sent. Its been over a month now and I have not heard anything from them.  I need to show my renewed EAD at my workplace or I might been asked to leave.

Please advise.

Thank you

Ask your Congress person to inquire on your behalf and ask them to confirm the address as well
