Anyone currently filing from overseas?

VAWA family please welcome @natalysmile to the thread. She is attempting to file from Russia and can use our help.

She mailed her packet in early August but did not use a tracking number. Has not heard anything yet. She is wondering if she should wait longer or resend it with tracking number.

I know it can take a while to get the NOA, especially overseas. Any one with recent experience with this? Also anyone who can speak Russian would be a great help for her.

wait 2 more weeks and then she can call vawa hotline to inquire

Hi All!

I'm Aug 2017 filer and I just received an e-mail my I-360 has been approved. I received my EAC approval on Aug 8. Card in hand on Aug 14th.

I read people have gotten EAC under C14, I did too. For what I've seen is that you cannot apply for Driver's License in Arizona and some other states but thankfully I don't live there.

Now the wait begins for my interview, YAY!!!!

Have faith and stay strong ❤️

Congrats dear! Best thing I've heard all day!😂😂🌠💫🌟👍 interview next! Welcome to the queue!

Only Attorney listed on file can call Vawa unit to inquired. They will not called back if is not an attorney. Only wait for an applicant to inquired is in writing or thru Congress person.

My vawa package was delivered last Thursday but still have not received any confirmation yet. Sent I-1145 as well but nothing happened.

Anyone has idea when will they cash out your check for I-485?

You can't verify by phone or email with vawa case because of so called "privacy" issue. VSC is like a ghost island completely isolated from rest of the world.

Did you use the services of an attorney during those 24 months if I may ask ? And yours is a great testimony, I’m overwhelmed and happy for you .

I don’t think your choice of words ‘so called privacy issue’ is the right one to use . The government is working with us the victims of abuse. That’s why everything about VAWA is private in order to protect us from those who claimed to love us but abuse us or manipulated us to their own selfish will. The government is protecting us . That’s why you can contact them through the vawa hotline( for attorney on file  ONLY ) or you can contact them by writing a letter to them and make sure it’s notarized too.

Most people here got their NOA after a few days or a month. I think it depends on how quick your package gets to an officer’s desk.
