I can't advise you in this matter because you have an attorney representing you and it's unethical for me to advise you.

Hypothetical circumstance, Sandra:

Let's say that an immigrant with I-360 pending adjudication wants to file for AP and travel, but has been advised not to because traveling might endanger I-360 approval.  In this hypothetical situation, what might be the risks of proceeding?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

The trip will not endanger  the VAWA petition, who adjudicates inadmissibility is the local office and not the officers from Vermont, that being said is impossible the “vawa“ officers deny Vawa because the person travelled abroad. If the person is not in removal proceedings or reentered  after being removed or has an asylum case pending then the person will be fine regarding inadmissibility.

Hi There!!! this is just my own experience... I went to see my attorney back in February... I was planning to travel to Puerto Rico and even if it is a US territory, I did not want to risk anything at all... She was fine with that, so we filled the AP form and mailed it... also she told me that USCIS is behind and could take 3 to 4 months to get it approve, at that time I did not have my VAWA approved yet, and my attorney was not against travelling. my AP case is March 2019, it is almost 6 months and I have not heard anything from them... so they are really behind... my point is... breath in... breath out... I really miss my family but this is something that I cannot control, everything will come in the right moment!

When I went to DMV to get my License they gave me the option to have a REAL ID license it has a circle black star on the corner for non-citizen and for US Citizen will have the USA flag , which will be the only valid ID beside the passport the will be accepted to travel domestic (US territory) starting 2020, I traveled to Puerto Rico with my REAL ID license only, No AP and they accepted no problem at all. The Real ID license is a verification of your identity showing that your are identity has been verify by the US government....

To take this license they ask me for everything.... my First I-94, my First passport where my Visa was issue, all my expired passport, they call DHS in front of me to verify my first enter to USA it was like immigration inspection at DMV.... Anyone got this REAL ID license????

I do. Before I had green card I got it as well. There’s a spot on the drivers license application  asking you if you want real ID

Hi , does anyone filed i360 while in removal proceedings?

Removal proceeding must be address in the immigration court, you can file VAWA cancellation of removal with the court but this is more harder than Vawa Self Petition which we file with Vermont Service Center they accept any creditable evidence unlikely Vawa cancellation of removal have more requirements like proving that removal would cause extreme hardship, to you, children, or parent a lot people married their abuser and have no relative in USA so is a hard situation.

Many people prefer to File I-360 with Vermont service center and ask ICE / immigration court to administrative close removal proceeding while I-360 is pending.  For this process an Attorney is definitely need it.

Super fast! My attorney said to me when she filed that we would receive it in two weeks but I didn’t believe because I know it’s taking so long.
