There is a border patrol checkpoint  from San Diego to LA, but if you are travelling in this area and you are stopped just show your prima facie and they will know that you have a pending VAWA and you won't have any problem.

Ah... What if I do not have my Prima Facie by then? I would be travelling to LAX...  what do you recommend @sandranj?

So I just stepped outside my house to get my mails..behold a letter from Commissioner of jurors office saying I am required by law to fill out the form for a prospective juror service..and that my name was selected at random!!!😳 ok my question is..who's gonna tell these people that I'm not a U.S. citizen..and I'm just a poor country girl waiting to get her interview in peace!😭😭😥😥 I prefer to be left alone! I don't wanna be a juror!!! HELP!!!😞

when you receive the summons, go online. there is s part there to say tou are not a citizen, the system will wrap up once you click on " not a citizen" and thats that :)

Your I-360 receipt is another way to show you have a pending petition.

I filled out the form like they requested attached my EAD and mailed it out! I called the office first thing this morning..was asked to mail back the completed form or come in person...had to mail it! Guess that pretty much settles it! Thanks though!😊👍

If they stop you and you don't have the prima facie at least show your I-360 receipt,if you don't have the I-360 receipt then do not go there ok.

I asked my attorney again if I can file AP on my own because she is really against travelling. She told me that I would have to sign a disclaimer if I wanted to proceed with filing AP in case my VAWA was denied as a result of the trip. I'm totally lost. I know a lot of people here have travelled with AP, but I also don't want her to feel I'm disrespecting her wishes. :( @sandranj I sent you a PM. Please help!!!! :(

I can't advise you in this matter because you have an attorney representing you and it's unethical for me to advise you.

I have my receipt, Hopefully I get the Prima Facie as well... that would be ideal. Perhaps I will just delay the trip by a few weeks... thank you Sandra!!

Hi There!!! this is just my own experience... I went to see my attorney back in February... I was planning to travel to Puerto Rico and even if it is a US territory, I did not want to risk anything at all... She was fine with that, so we filled the AP form and mailed it... also she told me that USCIS is behind and could take 3 to 4 months to get it approve, at that time I did not have my VAWA approved yet, and my attorney was not against travelling. my AP case is March 2019, it is almost 6 months and I have not heard anything from them... so they are really behind... my point is... breath in... breath out... I really miss my family but this is something that I cannot control, everything will come in the right moment!

Well if you applied for i485, then most likely it's your C9 EAD! Most folks get both!😊
